The Lyrics

It's been 3 years since I made a parody, but you know what Alan Moore said about quitting and relapses. Either way it goes without saying that Mr. Bennington was the last celebrity I truly cared about (meaning I don't give an anything if any other passes away anymore), and this is more of a rewrite than a parody. It's in the same vain as Ms. Brook's ditty, just don't expect me to appear in a video compilation of his work while dancing like Dave Gahan circa the 80s. But enough banter, enjoy.
Born in Cali, went from Phoenix to L.A.
Ran to lyrics about running away
Only twenty-four when all your dreams came true
But all you wanted was to quit the drug abuse

Yet more than one Grammy
Could never ease the pain
When 'Grey Daze' must fade
The genres change
But the fans still blame

And it's a hard hard game (hard game)
To forfeit in 'Theory'
And it's a long echo (too long)
to be afraid to see

Chase fame for silence
When transgressing at 'Midnight'
It's a risky premonition
When you failed with 'One More Light'

Despite the collaborators along the road
Still you faced alone
This pain, yet go
On must this sad show

And it's a long long break (too long)
That your Glass Castle's seen
Until you were long gone (long gone)
Did we know you, indeed

When I'll close my eyes too, somehow
Will I recall the singer?
The one who feared a thousand suns
Would burn my small world

And all the bands you joined
Could never ease the pain
Be it Julien-K
Or Pilots fame
And you're still the same

And it's a hard habit (to break)
When you're required to scream
And it's a hard hard weight (too hard)
To bear when that heavy

And it's a hard final (too hard)
To call your masquerade
And it's a hard hard end (to make)
Meet without mattering
"Who cares if one more light goes out, well I do" -Chester Bennington. 1976 - 2017 Rest In Peace.
