Original Song Title:

"All Apologies"

Original Performer:

Nivana

Parody Song Title:

"All Steve's Parodies ( AIC vs Nirvana )"

Parody Written by:

Red Ant

The Lyrics

The contest between Step-Chan and Red Ant on the battle of the alternative Amirighters.
What else should they be?
All Steve's parodies
Nothing that I hate
Kurt Cobain was great
What else could I write?
Sit and hold on tight!
What else can they be?
All Steve's parodies

Just for fun
Just for fun we chose the one
Day has come
Game is on!
Friendly?, Lets see!

I wish I watched cartoons
Anime is cool!
Who's the best of all?
Happy with a draw
It is just a game
Red's and Steve's exchange
Guess we'll never learn
Writing on the ashes of Seattle days*

Just for fun
Just for fun we write for fun
Here they come
Shameless plugs!
For Steve, From me, For Steve, From Me
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

Swap meet is " Across Conquest "
Blandest is " Ai, Mai, and Mii "
Verse Chorus Verse ( In his hands )-
" A.V.C.A. Nirvana "
Drain You parody " Catgirl "
Pen Cap Chew is " FCC "
Breed he made " I Am Error "
Oh The Guilt is " Oh The Guilt "
White Lace and Strange is now " Saiyans "
Mrs. Butterworth is now-
" The Quest For The F.M.D "
Sliver is now " Training Trip "
School-" Who Is Miaku's Sister "
That's just some of Step-Chan's art
Just look them up for the rest
Can be found, the author's list
Nothing wrong with Nirvana
All alone is all we are*
All alone is all we are
All alone is all we are
Hope you enjoy this parody Step-Chan. I don't know if some of those anime names are one or 2 syllable so I went with one. * We pretty much are alone on alternative here. PS- Forgive any spelling mistakes in here.

Spelling Cop to Red Ant - May 04, 2005 - Report this comment
Since you forgot the R in Nirvana, should I call you Ed Ant?

Hey, they happen. It'll still be in the right decade next to all other " All Apologies" parodies, just at the bottom of the list alphabetically.

This is very good! 555! I came to vote on your's before looking at mine. I hadn't listened to All Appologies in awhile, so I read slowly to make sure(I remembered the pacing shortly afterwords).

I had the same problem for my "School" parody. I wasn't sure if the name "Maiku" was one or two syllables. After watching the anime I found out it was one(then I rewrote my parody to match that). You did good on the syllables. Nothing got threw off.

Thank you Step-Chan. I think we have a tie which is what I really wanted all along. Unfortunately grunge is still pretty much dead here.

Not that the R matters, I thought it was great. Although it was a little random... Or was it? I dunno, but that's the way I like it
Red Ant to Dominic L. - May 04, 2005 - Report this comment
The random part I assume you are referring to the last 20 lines of the song which the original lyrics are " all in all is all we are ". Step-Chan and I decided to have a contest of the alternative Amirighters since I have the most AIC parodies and he had ( up until today ) NOTHING but Nirvana parodies. VERY few of any of the close to our 50 combined parodies ( on these 2 bands ) has picked up more than 3 votes. This parody was dedicated to his favorite band and parody content.

If you think this is random, check out TOS lyrics.

I was actually referring to the second verse, but I have a feeling it is in fact relevant.
Red Ant to Dominic L. - May 06, 2005 - Report this comment
Yes, it is. The first part is that I can't really rate alot of Step-Chan's parodies because I don't know much about anime ( which sucks for both of us ).

The second part was describing the contest, which I did NOT want a "winner", hence " Happy with a draw ".

The last 2 lines are basically saying that grunge music is mostly dead here but we still write about them for fun.

Yeah, I remember posting my parodies on a thread that was started by someone on livenirvana. I mentioned that my parodies don't get much votes, and she replied that my references are too specific for alot of people to get it(the fact that I also do parodies of some of the more rare and obscure songs also keep the votes low). She did, however like what I posted and still votes on my new ones that I submit. She doesn't leave comments. But she usually likes what I write.

Hey, RA, maybe you should resubmit this one with Nirvana spelt correctly. Until you do, I will not vote on this.
Red Ant to Anonymous - May 07, 2005 - Report this comment
This was just really between myself and Step-Chan. No disrespect intended towards Nirvana. I make spelling mistakes all the time, though this is the first one with a band name. I will not be resubmitting it though. Thanks for dropping by. :)

Okay, so I guess that's that.
Scrawny Johnny - May 25, 2005 - Report this comment
Well, Audioslave can *kind of* be considered grunge, since after all, both Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine were labeled as Grunge/Hard Rock. And they do have a grunge sound to them in a way.
Red Ant - November 15, 2005 - Report this comment
Thanks Scrawny Johnny-6 months late-better than never I suppose.

Then I suggest asking Chuckie to correct this. He's allowing corrections one more time.
