Parody Song Title:

"Smells Like Paul Anka"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

First Pat Boone, and now Paul Anka. Why do crooners always record "rock" albums just by singing Led Zeppelin songs in a swing style? Paul Anka almost called his rock-covers album, Smells Like Paul Anka, but he called it Rock Swings.
I heard a song on Letterman
This par-o-dy I had to pen
Nirvana songs are played on brass
Feels like somebody kicked my ass

Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh, no oh no!

Singing rock songs, it's Paul Anka
No more music, I can't take it
Now he's laughing to the bank-a
No more music from Paul Anka

Why is Pat Boone
Singing metal?
Why'd Paul Anka
Have to meddle?
yeah!

Hey!

Hey!

He's worst at what Pat did best
Pat Boone should sue, he should protest
A "metal" album by Pat Boone
And now Paul Anka, what a loon

Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh, no oh no

It's Paul Anka and Paul Shaffer
Playing brass rock, eating wafers
It sounds stupid, but it's genius
Here's Paul Anka, entertain us

Why's a crooner
Singing grunge songs?
Frank Sinatra
and Nirvana?
No!

Yo!
Hey!

(brass/guitar solo)

Don't think he got to this last verse
He just forgot when he rehearsed
A single laugh is hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!
Oh no, oh, no oh no

Singing rock songs, it's Paul Anka
You were corny, and I thank ya
It was stupid, but was genius
Corny music entertained us

Is Kurt laughing?
Is he crying
Up in Heaven?
Is he lying?

Dumb idea
Why Paul Anka?
Dumb idea
Dumb idea

Why Paul Anka?
Singing rock songs?
Why Nirvana?
No Madonna?
Why Paul Ankaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

Well, you had straight 5s up until the last chorus/outro. 455. PS-Isn't this like the 7th time you've parodied this OS? I'm working on my 6th at the moment. Hopefully it'll be out this month. Good job though on not repeating choruses.

I decided to 555 this despite the few missing repeat lines of "A Denial" at the end.

I never liked Paul Anchor. Only he could make Pat Boone sound good.

What else would you expect from somebody who would write a song like "You're Having My Baby"/ When will Dan Hill try rap?

555, but the "whatever nevermind" needs to be dropped from all further parodies...lazy songwriting! :)
