 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Mr. Bungle

Parody Song Title:

"Eureka!"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

It's a mutant? No, a miracle!
A creature with a humanoid face
While the data on the touchscreen
Shows incidental toxicity
Soon the whole wide world will worship you
Second only to me, dude
With the techies in our department
We concealed this accident
Our ethics were paper thin
Yet the damage was reeled in

Carbon dated back to Year 2
The first sign of human intelligence
Call up Munich and Helsinki!
Look at this cash cow, we'll make the millions
You're the Beta
We all made you
Born in a glass tube, parents don't exist...

Oooh, aaah...ooh, aaah...
Split the atoms in the pot now
Pop a keg, spread drinks around
They were all wrong, oh so wrong!
Soon the world will fin'lly see

We'll be stars on Discovery...
A Nobel is in the offing....
Oh s***! Oh s***!
Head Office just gave a call!!...

Grant money's faded...
We almost made it...
Project's abated...
Can't be persuaded...
Exterminate it...

More of Doo-Wop than Slow Songs persay... But the idea was genius and the fact that it was Mr. Bungle tickled me pink (cigarette).

Gotta tell you honestly Aggy... While I love Mr. Bungle, this parody lost me on what you're talking about. You discovered some sort of humanoid creature, but other than that it went on a random tanget of Vanity, Science, and Parties, but Mr. Bungle also does that kinda thing, and I guess it works as an Experimental Parody, but to tell you the truth I was quite lost.

(DEC 2.10) Lovely wordsmithery, Ag....while not would I would consider funny, a almost psychedelic, well-written piece.

(Dec 2.0) The writing's clever, but the plot is rather confusing. Good job anyways.

Weird OS.. kind of a weird Frankenstein-esque parody, too, with some clever subs worked in

Decathlon...I agree with Matthias that the OS doesn't really fit the genre in my opinion, but I liked the parody...it made me smile. =)

(decath) well, it's the Discovery Channel's loss I'm afraid, Ag - not many opportunities to feature something that carbon-dates back to Year 2...although Year 1 would be even awesomer - 555

I took this as a sci-fi parody, which I thought fit into the category of science. Reminded me of The Fly for some reason.

(Dec2) I honestly had trouble gaging this parody to be completely honest. . .the OS was very hard to follow along with your parody (probably more a problem with the OS itself than your parody). . .still a creative and different write, and though yeah it may be sci-fi, sci-fi wouldn't be much without science, so I consider it to fit both as slow and science, the parody itself was just a bit hard to follow.
