The scene in "Downfall", in which Magda Goebbels poisons her six children is one of the most chilling in movie history. The Red Army was totally out of control by the time it reached Berlin, but Magda certainly deserved what the rampaging Mongols would have inflicted on her.

Patrick, I'm always amazed at Stalin's position on rape and murder. He gave permission for two weeks and then ordered them to stop. One had to wonder if any action was taken at all. Over 2 million German women were raped and several million German troops were marched back to the USSR to repair that nation. Most died. Magda Goebbels knew the reality of what she faced and the future for her children. Although shocking, she actually saved her children by killing them. They reside in heaven. She and her husband are damned like Hitler and Eva. It is sad that Blondie had to be put down by cyanide, but Hitler loved his dog and didn't want her to fall into Soviet hands. Btw, the divisions Hitler wanted for Berlin were not fictional, just busy fighting in the north, south, and west. Berlin had 50 under-strength divisions, the Volkssturm, and Hitler Youth. Hitler could have escaped to Thuringia or north up the Baltic to Norway for transport to Argentina but declined to abandon the bunker.

I have wondered some times if Berlin might have surrendered faster, with less loss of life, had Patton been allowed to beat the Russians to the city. One of the German generals assigned to defend Berlin opened a corridor to the west for fleeing citizens to reach the comparative safety of the advancing US and British armies.

You have produced another Nazicentric "parody." In all your submissions of this sort, your lip service to the evil of the Third Reich is transparent in its insincerity, and you fool nobody. What matters is the evident pride you have for Third Reich technology, German superiority in weapons innovation, individual Nazi courage and skill (even in suicide), etc. You extoll Nazi inventive genius of that era (except for their tremendous advancements in the fields of genocide; forced labor; blind servitude and cooperation of a passive, anti-Semitic German population to a charismatic and mad leader; and barbaric medical experimentation). The rant by NA seems excessive. I found this to be quite good history-parody. But I don't understand how anyone can rate your works of this type on a humor scale. Many of us, your potential e-friends and parodist-colleagues, are revealed by their work to belong to a group who might particularly sympathize with "NeverAgain"'s concerns. Hmm... shall we discuss the Colonial Overlords of Europe or US history that includes 400 years of chattel slavery, the KKK, attempted genocide of Native Americans (the land grabs, small pox blankets, "the only good Indian is a dead Indian"), the Japanese-Americans interned in WW2, the bloody civil rights movement of the '60s, and so on...??? We could talk about Stalin's artificial famine of the "30s and 7 million killed or his machine gunning his own troops and constant paranoid purges. Perhaps Mao's killings in the tens of millions, North Korean torture, Serbian war crimes in Kosovo, and the exploits of Saddam, Gaddafi, Idi, and a range of despotic rulers around the globe. Germany did not invent genocide, brutality, nor slave labor. Those are mankind issues. I suggest that you read a non-Victor Song history book if you can find one. In the unlikely event that you become interested in the art of parody, written or mimed, I suggest you watch the narcissist Adenoid Heinkel's pas de deux with a balloon globe of the world, and his "rants" and "diatribes" delivered in pidgin German.

Straight 5's? What the hell? No way, man. This is an absolute fail on FUNNY. This is a serious meh on PACING. and it seems like 14 people give this 5-5-5? What the hell? Where is the FUNNY in the entire parody? Nowhere. How good is the PACING for "Goebbels was Propaganda Minister"? Offbeat. What the hell? I could care less about the content, I don't care if it's about Nazis or Greenpeace. If the categories are FUNNY and PACING, this is a FAIL, and does not deserve a 5, or a 4, or even a 3 in either of those categories. Some of you guys are just terrible judges.

Don't get worked up about Rob's parodies. He votes himself all those 5's because he feels he needs them and he's proud of the fact that no one but him would ever grant him a 5 in any category or any of his parodies.
