The Lyrics

It's official: Dick Cheney is the best Vice President to parody since
Spiro "No Lo Contendre" Agnew!
If tomorrow Halliburton was
Investigated, strife
Would befall the pinko scumballs
Who want to ruin my rich life

Well, it's good that I'm the President
Of the Senate, it's okay
'Cause I've got the big guns in my pocket
Gotta thank that Tom DeLay

And I'm proud to be an embarrassment,
An out-of-control Veep
And if I hear something out of line
You'll have to deal with me
You don't like it? Shut up!
I'm in charge, and you can go to Hell
Cause if you don't like sweet deals I've made,
Then you can BLEEP! yourself.

From the reps of Minnesota,
to the Dems of Tennessee.
The Republicans of Texas,
Representing you and me

From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's fear in every Senator's heart
They don't know what I might say

And I'm proud to be an embarrassment,
Even Bush won't talk to me
At an undisclosed location, I'm
Plotting revenge, you'll see
You don't like it? Shut up!
I'm in charge, and you can go to Hell
Cause if you don't like sweet deals I've made,
Then you can BLEEP! yourself.

As the man who invented the Expletive Deleted, I thought it was mildly amusing. And so did my jowls.

Even as a staunch Bush supporter I thought this one was excellent and well worth 555! I was going to call you a nattering nabob of negativism but Spiro (in Maryland we just called him "Ted" while he was our governor) stole my thunder! Seriously, great job. Now as a Republican just let me say - go [expletive deleted] yourself!!!! :D

Thanks Mr. Mac--dontcha just love how he deliberately mispronounces American? Very annoying. Stray Pooch--I appreciate your spirit of bipartisanship!

Best performance in politics by a Mason since... Andrew Jackson? (And if you get that joke, you have as little of a life as I do!) But, come on, Cheney is NOT fun to parody. When Agnew ran with Tricky Dick, the line was, "Vice President Agnew? This would be funny if it weren't so serious." Now, Dan Quayle, HE was funny! And, let's face it, we owe him an apology. He was NEVER as stupid as Dubya, and probably couldn't have caused nearly as much damage as Dubya had Bush Sr.'s term ended prematurely for whatever reason. (In fact, in summer '01, there was a rather weak assassination attempt -- the guy never got further than a corner gate -- and I wrote "He Saw Bush Standing There," and I had the line, "And Quayle kept that from happening to his father, whoa, when the first Bush was standing there." But I never posted it, since I didn't discover this site until over a year after 9/11. I won't post it now unless asked.)

Michael, thanks for the vote of confidence. Alas, I do get your joke, even know the secret handshake & everything. I need a life!!! And Doh! how could I forget Quayle, Mr. Potatoe head himself. (I remember seeing a button that said "President Dan Quayle" and showed a picture of Meunch's painting, "Silent Scream", a very funny juxtaposition.)
