The Lyrics

Based upon the popular comic series 'The Adventures Of Asterix' by Rene Goscinny and ALbert Uderzo. For those people unfamiliar with this series, catch up on what you've been missing.
Isn't it strange, that a soup could give you super-strength?
Isn't it odd that one human could eat several boars?

'Maybe it's me, but these Romans, I think they are crazy!'
This is the story of two men, who fought the Roman boors
(It was not a big chore)

And I see Obelix*, bashing some heads
With his dog, Dogmatix
But they do not kill, don't make them dead
They fight with Asterix**

Isn't it weird that the man who is in charge of Gaul
Cannot find a way to beat these two, are they too smart for him?

Unhygienix, how do you keep your fresh fish stall?
Your fish start all the village fights, and the village blacksmith
(Fulliautomatix)

We see them in Spain, or Atlantis
All thanks to Caeser's tricks
Magic potion brewed by Getafix
Gives strength to
Power to Asterix

[Instrumental break]

Make the Romans real sore

They fight the Romans, and each other
Thanks to those smelly fish
And all these plots twists are a bother
But we have Asterix!

The villagers love to fight today
Except Cacofonix
The day they were born, on the same day
Asterix and
Asterix and Obelix

Goscinny

Uderzo
*Two syllables, as in 'Ob-lix'. Same throughout the parody. **Same again, 'cept as 'Ast-rix'

(Artistry) Afraid that after checking Wikipedia I'm still lost on the parody's humor, pieman. Kudos for working in the names though...

(Artistry) I only know a little about Asterix, but I know enough to appreciate this excellent review.

Fulliautomatix? Huh? I don't know what the heck that means, but I like the word.

(Artistry) What makes these Incubus songs so difficult to parody are these damned, tuneless verses...there was quite a bit of difficulty here, stretching certain words over the OS, making it hard to enjoy the meaning. I'll give you more points for tackling the tune with the topic, not that I enjoyed reading/singing it. :)

(Artistry) I'm not really getting this one so much. . .but this round was tough on a few people so I've heard (Agrimorfe. . .:)) so I'll spare you any type of heavy duty opinion, I applaud your effort to do every artist, even the ones who are challenging.
