I woke up, with a smile on my face,
and I thought, "Today's a good day".
So I got dressed, and I went downstairs,
just to find no one was there.

Where's my family, and where are my gifts?
There's no cards, no cake or presents.
Is this a joke, or a surprise?
But that was when I realised.

My family forgot my birthday!
What on earth is going on?
I understand my folks are busy,
but come on guys, I'm still your son!

So I left, and I walked to school,
and I thought, "At least THIS will be cool".
I walked into class, saw all my friends,
but all they said was, "Hey".

All my friends forgot my birthday!
It's as if nobody cares!
You would think they would remember,
it's the same day every year!
