The Lyrics

Never dreamt of a tv show but seemed like an interesting idea. A lot of these shows I have on dvd but still got this idea anyway. I know a few of these were only taken off tv recently.
In the middle of the night
I watch tv in my sleep
I see Scrabble reruns
And then I watch Balki

I must be tired of tv
There's too few shows on now
There's not often much on
So I might have a cow

Even though I know the tv is on
I dream this every evening and watch Growing Pains
And Who's The Boss and Mr. Belvedere
And then some Super Password wanna see those again

In the middle of the night
I watch tv in my sleep
Through Harry Stone's Night Court
To Macgyver's Jeep

And I've been searching for Benson
Taken off my tv
These shows I just wanna watch
So I get dvds

I don't know why I go watching at night
But now I'm tired, Murphy Brown's in my sleep evermore
And where is Hangin' With Mr. Cooper tonight
Why don't cable channels show more of what I'm looking for

In the middle of the night
I watch tv in my sleep
To The Manor Born is on
And maybe Quantum Leap

I know I'm searching the cable
All these shows I can't find
Some aren't on dvd
Got on tapes and my mind

In the middle of the night

I'm not sure if I'll watch my tv
3rd rock and Hill Street aren't there anymore
Where are Step By Step and Coach, Batman's not powin'
Charles ain't in charge, fall asleep, I snore

In the middle of the night
I watch tv in my sleep
And see so many shows
Don't have on the tv

There's Hacker, Prime Minister
Towers that are Fawlty
Get Smart, Simon & Simon
Newsradio Yippee

In the middle of the night

Thought of this after I submitted it: the second to last line should be "It's the tv of dreams"

I wish they'd show more stuff I like too

DKTOS, but I can certainly appreciate the late night channel selections. Most of those shows hold up pretty well, even today.

It's sad that the only decent shows on TV are the old ones. Well said. (trying to vote) What number comes after "4', again?

(DKTOS - The Old Show? "Married ... With Children" -- TT.)

And here I thought from the title that it was going to be about a 180" plasma... ;)

Right there with you on the "oldies but goodies" angle... as Warren and TT said.
