The Lyrics

Got Dori and Nori
And Ori dwarf-kind,
And Kili and Fili, yeah
And Dwalin and Balin
And Bifer and Bofer, oh well…
Can’t name all those dwarves now, baby
When Gandalf comes down, too
I guess that destiny’s mine, mine, mine
‘Cause I got one ring in my pocket
While the other ones got destroyed

I slew ugly spiders
Rolled rivers in a wooden keg
And did some good burgling, yeah
But was it all pointless?
Was scared, but I played along
With Smaug wasn’t sorry, baby
The Gollum was a clown, too
All his riddling was no fright, all right
‘Cause I got his ring in my pocket
And wasn’t that a happy accident?

But what does all this come down to?
I guess Tolkien hasn’t figured it out just yet
‘Cause I got one ring in my pocket
But old Sauron isn’t throwing his high sign

I’ve seen Murkwood Forest
‘Twas nothing, Sam-Wise!
Should there be only One Film, maybe?
To bank I’ll be laughing
Go there and come back again
My toes are still hairy, baby
That’s what the nerds kowtow to
But I haven’t been able to part with it just yet
It’s that one ring in my pocket
Guess the bloody thing is going to Frodo!
And now I say goodbye my dear friends
After drinking up my wine, wine, wine
I’ve got that damned ring out my pocket
And I’m-a gonna sail on to Valinor

This worthy little Tolkien parody/potboiler to add to the canon deserves some acknowledgement, so well done Agri - good use of the rhyme phonetics and knowledge of the material. I wonder if people are a bit tired of Tolkien or the site's a bit dead? Probably both. Personally I like the singer better than the song, and prefer your lyrics to the OS

Great work here Agri. Well done, although I'm a little disappointed you couldn't fit the last 4 dwarves in somewhere to complete the set. Very good use of the lyrics. Keep LOTR burning bright here on Amiright :c).

Not bad. I haven't seen the movie. I guess I'll get around to seeing it some day just like Abbott and Star Wars. I was a little lost here seeing the original movies but not the first part of the prequel. I do like you ripping on that because that's one of the reasons why I don't really want to see it. They're just trying to rip people off by turning one book into 3 movies ever since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows gave that idea to everybody.

I kept waiting for Sleepy, Dopey, Doc etc. to show up . Good synopsis.

I couldn't think up a good ring a ding joke despite the ring and the fact that pockets are close to...

(Artistry) I haven't read/seen/looked The Hobbit up on TV Tropes yet, so I didn't get most of this parody. Even if I did know what was going on, the pacing was really off in spots, and I mean really off, like missing five syllables. Not what I expect from an Agrimorfee parody, TBH. This was okay, I guess, could've used a lot of polishing to get the pacing up to scratch. Then I may be lost on the subject matter, but at least I could sing along! Not trying to be a dick here, just my honest opinion.

Nice job with pacing and rhyming...however, all of the content went right over my head. I'm sure once I get around to LoTR (after I watch Star Wars), it'll make more sense to me.

And a nice job putting Hobbits to this tune. I guess I knew enough from the LOTR even though I haven't seen the Hobbit yet.

Very good write, "Lord Agree" . . . however, that ring on my Finger is more important to me, Sir !

Artistry...you knew I'd dig this one, right? The last verse is my favorite...but the whole thing made me smile...HEART this!

(Artistry) Like TCOP I had a little trouble following the pacing, which is very out of the ordinary for our work. I've yet to see the Hobbit, so I'm fuzzy with a lot of the specific details, but I can infer most of it. Solid summation.
