The Lyrics

Great deals can really bring out the worst in some people.
Black Friday
I've always given gifts
I've no cash, must remain frugal
That's my day
I have to find great deals
I don't feel like using Google

Wake myself
Get up at 3 am
I'm alone - my buddies could care less

Contain myself
Plan every move I make
Loser, I confess

Filling up my shopping cart
Stuffing up my shopping cart
Must get a great deal
Shove and push to fill my cart
Cram stuff in my shopping cart

Get there first - must not chance it
Who knows if they have more?

Watch her now
The eager single mom
Try'na make a perfect Christmas
I'll let it slide
But if you eye my deals
You will get a taste of my fist, b*tch. **
See the shelf
One Blu-Ray player left
I got it, propelled by greed

Stick it in my shopping cart
Filled-to bursting shopping cart
Now, I have got a
Semi-broken shopping cart
Need another shopping cart!

Got a fresh new shopping cart

After some coupon clippin'
I could use some mo' (Gotta fill my shopping cart)
My mind says 'Never stop', cuz I want it all
9pm, I've got to go
Cashier rings me up (Emptying my shopping cart)
Wallet, I look, I want to bawl! Oh no!

I can't find my credit cards!
Left at home my credit cards!
I'm suicidal
Cannot purchase - must discard!
On my nightstand, credit cards!

I forgot my credit cards!
I've no cash just credit cards!
I'm such a numbskull
Hopes are burnt! My dreams are charred!
Heart is broken into shards!

"Next in line, please" is the conclusion
Have to leave my shopping cart (Had to leave it in Wal-mart)
Christmas excite, now turned to fright
Might as well just tear my heart! (Escorted out of Wal-mart)

Don't believe what I've done at all
Won't believe what I've done at all (I forgot my credit cards)
Up my sleeve, I've nothing at all
Can't believe it, can't believe it (I forgot my credit cards)
** I do not endorse Black Friday violence whatsoever. Source lyrics

Ditto - I don't get up that early plus all the "deals" are listed as the number available, which I suspect is often zero - can you say bait and switch?

Love the OS you used here and you did a good job with it. Hard luck stories are always pretty funny and no different here. $555 over your credit card limit.

Timmy: I've only gone shopping on Black Friday if my grandparents brought me along. Minus the crowds, it would be a nice sneak peek as to what I'm getting from 'Santa'. Nowadays, they just give me money and let me buy what I want. It also helps that my birthday is 3 days after Christmas. =] *cough*I get ripped-off*cough*

Blackjack: I had been trying to think of a subject for a parody of this OS. I went through 'Donor of a broken heart', but I didn't know how I would fill the parody, so I went with a Black Friday subject matter. I'm probably going to enter this one in SOTM, unless I come up with something better by the end of this month, which I doubt I'll feel like doing. xD

he he and I have yet to come up with an idea for this OS.

Man, Black Friday is always a good way to get murdered. Good job, and I loved the rhyme of "frugal" and "Google"! 555

Great take on a Black Friday parody, SP! I was about to do one yesterday, but I was burned out by working on 2 parodies this week and it always takes me awhile to write a great parody! Maybe I'll do it next year on a Black Friday! We actually woke up at 3am this morning to beat the rush, but when we got to K-Mart, the line was so damn long, no matter how early we arrived! Willowbrook Mall from where I live is very cramped as hell! Loved the forgotten credit cards part, except it would be horrible if that happens to everybody and people would go nuts! Forget credit cards. I hope you'll part for 555 gift cards instead!

Hate shopping but like your parody

Ann: There are almost infinite possibilities, and it's a pretty recognizable song, I think.

DJ: Thanks, I loved that rhyme too. Pretty brilliant, if I do say so myself. xD Joking, of course, but thank you.

Christie: This parody took some time. I wanted to write another parody before the month was over, especially since I wasn't sure if my other two were SOTM contenders [no offense DJ, but tribute parodies aren't really SOTM material], and I'm pretty darn sure I'm going to enter this one.

Andy: I love shopping, but only if I have money of my own [that kinda ended once my Summer job ended, but there's always next Summer!]. Thank you for liking the parody.

Well done! The scenario reminds me of that at stores the day decades ago when Texas Instruments, recognizing the futility (if not the idiocy) of marketing their highly debilitated $600 TI-99 computer as a direct functional competitor with Atari's sub-$100 Pong-playing game machine and dumped all unsold units of $50 a pop. I've seen shorter, saner holiday lines at those Honey-Baked Ham stores. Thing is, most of stores vending such items substantial inventories of the machine itself, but very few copies of the games. :-) 5s for you, 0s for TI. :-)
