Saw a lot of parents buying guns for small children this year. .22's, even though no ammo available. .243 for deer, low recoil. All that ammo gone, too. One lady bought her young son a huge Browning trap shotgun and a Mosin-Nagant 91/30. Lucky kid.

Where I live the .22 ammo is out still and people are buying those fake sporters in .22LR that look like the MP-5 SMG, SIG-551 and AR-15 rifles. I would NEVER buy any of those and aim them at anyone. No one will be fooled by that small barrel orifice and even striking someone with a .22LR round is a waste of time, lacks ME, and MV, and has no real stopping power- that's why that caliber is for utility rifles. I would consider a combat compound-cam bow with high pull and razorback heads for the arrows as more lethal. I wouldn't even trust a .22LR for shooting a rabid dog... I'd use a .40 cal pistol to do the job. Hey Patrick, have you heard of the Salamma Gun used in Iraq? It was invented by a doctor and fired flechette rounds.
