Obama's making another trip to the ME to Israel, the West Bank, and Jordan but still won't provide heavy weapons to the Syrian rebels even though Assad continues to butcher his people and clings on to power. The result is 200,000+ dead and millions displaced, especially in Jordan where 500,000 have been absorbed and climbing (Jordan only has a population of 6 million). Then there's the fear of Syrian missiles and chemical tech falling into Hezbollah's hands to be launched against Israel and general destabilization in the region when and IF the fall happens. The US military and politicians have pressured Obama to send weapons but Obama promises another way. What way??? Sanctions have failed and there is no support for "boots on the ground." Obama had no problems with support for the Libyan rebels but up against an aggressor with an AF, warships, and missiles (as well as chemical stocks) that will fight back... he passes. "Defender of the Free World and Leader of Democracy?" Apparently not if someone will fight back with credible weapon systems...

Note: Syria is one of those nations that can shoot down the drones and has.
