The Lyrics

Another of 3 non-partisan election day parodies that I've written. If the first thing you did today was got up & went on this site, this is just a little reminder that today is Election Day, so go out and vote! Oh, and enjoy the parody while you're at it, too. DKTOS? (Don't Know The Original Song?)
I’ll get up and throw in my two cents.
It ain’t so tough, all you need is common sense.
And I know everyone should be there,
You’ve got to go-o-o make a difference and show that you care!

I hope to see you standin’ there,
In the booth in front of the voting machine.*
Whether eighty or eighteen,
I hope you’ll be on the scene!

You should go and vote!
(Vote!)
You should go vote!
Get out there and vote!
(Vote!)
Get out there and vote!

Whoa-oh!
Hey you, why are you sitting at the bay?
Just get up and go-o-o make a difference on the first Tuesday!

I hope to see you standin’ there,
In the booth in front of the voting machine.
Whether eighty or eighteen,
I hope you’ll be on the scene!

You should go and vote!
(Vote!)
You should go vote!
Get out there and vote!
(Vote!)
Get out there and vote!
Vote!

[Guitar solo]

You should go vote!
(Vote!)
Get out there and vote!
(Vote!)
Get up and vote!
(Vote!)
Get out there and vote!
(Vote!)

(Vote!)

[fade out]
*-WARNING: Do not actually go into the booth while someone is in there voting. It's most likely illegal, and at the very least, you're cheating. Dont do it.

Another song about voting posted today... Well as I said to Spaff, This is the first election that I can actually take place in and actually vote so I'm pretty excited.

Although I went to a Halloween party with a friend and we were dressed like McCain and Palin, I voted for Obama. Unfortunately, my erstwhile date voted for Ralph Nader. 555

Just as I've been telling a few parody authors, this is a great promo for Election Day '08. It conveys good messages very well! I do enjoy your parody! Van Halen should be singing your song! Allow me to throw three 5 votes coming your way!!

Love it! I know this song very well; and like Alvin said, it was a great selection for this parody. So let me cast my vote for a perfect 5-5-5 score!
