The Lyrics

Since a few years ago I did a tribute to the Jungle Cruise with a Weird Al parody I felt that it was only right that I did a tribute to the Haunted Mansion with a song that I was working on for my Weird Al Polka Project.
Floating birthday cakes
Here the walls all shake
Chandeliers will break
In your bed crawl snakes
Haunted Mansion’s Huge

It will fry your brain
From the sink blood drains
The ghost of Mark Twain
Drives a phantom train
Through your living room

It’s so scary
And belongs to me!
Outside there are graves and Zombies have a rave!

There is no escape
Bats fly from the drapes
Your mouth hang’s agape
Since vampires drank
The blood out of you

If you yawn the undead are all disgraced
A see-through knight will attack you with his mace
These haunted grounds the Ghostbusters will not trace
Grim grinning ghosts will spook you when you gaze
When they die they come and take a lease!!!!

[Background: Booooooooooooooooooooooooo…]

You’ll hear them shriek
And you’ll start to freak
My vacation home is where phantasms roam

Here you might get maimed
Poltergeists aren’t tame
It’s their claim to fame
To take plates and aim
All their throws at you!

You’ve got to be brave
Don’t be scared of wraiths
They’ll be haunting you!

Haunted Mansion’s Huge!

Don’t swim in the lake
You’ll turn into steak
If you like your legs
My advice you’ll take
Gators chomp on you!

In restrooms don’t shave
Bloody Mary waves
And there goes your face
You will join this place
Ghosts are wanting you!

Demons will pull pranks
Break hot water tanks
Make your clothes smell rank
Or the rug they’ll yank
Right from under you!

Watch the crypt doors sway
And hear banshees bray
You should be afraid
A spider parade
Will run after you!

Make you wet your pants
You won’t stand a chance
Hearing ghostly chants
As those ghouls dance
Haunted mansion’s huge!

All your nerves are frayed
And you’re in dismay
Creeps full of decay
Are playing croquet
As they’re haunting you!

Still this place has swank
Must have robbed a bank
Though it’s kind of dank
And your mind goes blank
There’s ghosts haunting you!

And can you believe how few parodies were submittted today? You have as many lyrics here as all the rest of the day's songs combined. I'll bet that doesn't happen often

Thanks all! I can't believe how hard it was for me to pull this parody off. So much rhyming it's spooky!

How'd I miss this one? It's awesome. You got some serious rhyming skillz yourself, brother. TMGLTM but 'dismay/decay/croquet' stood out in this excellent parody.

SOTM...still love this. I've been having major Disney withdrawals, so this made me extra happy today! :)

SOTM - Wouldn't it be cool if the Playboy Mansion had a ghost movie? Just thinking out loud here...

Additional: And the sequel would be a scrooge type Christmas special with the ghosts of Playmates past, Playmates present and Playmates of the future...

*mind drifts off...*

(SOTM) Sweet merciful Batman, that's a lot of verses. Kudos for keeping up the funny throughout. Not really familiar with Haunted Mansion, but it didn't seem like required knowledge here, which is nice. Hauntingly good parody here, 555!

Still great Matty. Still can't mention all the greats, but 'You’ll turn into steak', and the 'pulled rug from under you' stanza stood out to me this time.

Wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but I'm glad I read it because it was very well written and had some pretty good lines in there as well! Nice work!

Spooktacular, especially for tackling the repetitive coda with all new words! A fitting tribute to my favorite ride at the D World.

SOTY...just like the Happy Haunts in the Haunted Mansion itself, I think this gets better with age. LOVE.

Happy Halloween in March! I figured this was a Halloween song but I see it came out March 2012. Well done, lots of good rhymes with the song.
