The Lyrics

I woke up to the sound of my gut grumbling
the fridge, it whispers, and I think of food
All the things I like, they call my name
but she grabs my wrist before I can move

The wife, she has me on a strict diet
and Lord, I hate it, but she keeps making me
She says it's for my health and my waistline
and she says it's just because she loves me
but because she's thin, she's not joining me

Remember yesterday, a burger in my hand
and Chee-to's by the bag, I remember food
Through all the starving nights, after deprived days
I hear my stomach say, I remember food
Oh, whoa-oh-whoa

She's cooking dinner, and I catch the smell
of bugers frying, and my drool just drips
Then, she comes over and sets my salad down
I said this would be nice with some bacon bits
with the cruelest smile, she just says "tough tit"

Remember yesterday, dining on chicken
and tators with gravy, I remember food
Through all the starving nights, after deprived days
I hear my stomach say, I remember food

Well, I have been losing pounds
but what a price I've paid
'cause through it all, she has been stuffing her face
while I have to watch be hungry

I woke up to the sound of my gut grumbling
and looked over at her while she snoozed
A happy smile starts across my face
'cause with those two slipped pills, she'll sleep through
I start to walking, here I come, my food!

Remember yesterday, nibbling on rice cakes
but now, I'll have pizza, I remember food
No more starving nights, no more deprived days
she can go to hell, I remember...
I remember food

Oh, yeah

Hey, thanks AFW. I appreciate that.....omg.....haha...I just noticed a quite gross spelling error I made. "Frying bugers"....yikes....that should have been "frying BURGERS" in case someone got the wrong idea. =)

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks Ant for the WB and the vote. Yeah, the OS is a great song. IMO, the best of the "power ballads", and one of my sentimental faves since I was about 12 or 13 (ages ago)...as for the other thing, I've been away from here til about three days ago, and hadn't looked at my old parodies, so I'll get to those and answer if I can.
