The Lyrics

Look! Up in the sky! It's an obvious intro bit! It's the star of a TV show I'm not watching! It's...Supergirl!
City's under threat
Yes, again, but who'll stop the threat this time?
Superman's out in space, he can't make it in time
He's got super speed, but I'm guessin' it's not workin' fine
But who's shootin' those laser eye-eyes?
Liftin' thrice the weight of their body with that big "S"?
It's a diff'rent hero come to-o save, save us, right

I think I heard someone say Supergi-i-irl
So I guess her name's Supergi-i-irl
Where'd she come from, though? I need some facts

So did she also come from space?
Or some weird alternate-dimensional spa-ace?
Some say that she's related to the big Boy Scout Supes
But is it sister? Cousin? Daughter? And is it remotely true?
And we've all seen her with our eye-eyes
But each describe a diff'rent costume, I don't get it
Though she can still bust up a du-ude's face, face just fine

I think I can get behind Supergi-i-irl
I'm really likin' Supergi-i-irl
Took on The Dollmaker, squashed him flat
Love Supergi-i-irl
Not in that way, love Supergi-i-irl
Okay, maybe just a bit
But I've no chance with a super, man

And I wonder who is beneath her disgui-uise
You'd think it'd be real ea-easy
Like her cousin, no mask over her eye-eyes
Linda Danvers, you laughin' at me?

Tell me
What do you find so funny 'bout that?

You know I'm tryin' to find Supergi-i-irl
A mystery is Supergi-i-irl
I'll find Supergi-i-irl
I've got a lot of questions to ask
That Supergi-i-irl
Where I can I meet with Supergi-i-irl?
Tell me, who is Supergi-i-irl?

Linda Danvers being one of Supergirl's secret identities. There's been a few Supergirls over the years, at least five according to TV Tropes. Because the only consistent things about comic books seem to be their tangled continuity.

You're not missing much. The actress is very Plain Jane looking and the show is female dominated. Action is OK, but the love triangle thing gets old fast. In this series, Supergirl (aka Kara Zor-El) is Kara Danvers which is close to Marvel's Carol Danvers who is female Captain Marvel! 555 oz of Kryptonite!!!
