The Lyrics

Happy Thanksgiving.
Ohhh, I, am hungry
Hungrier than you,
And I want turkey.
The gravy and potatoes
The apple ginger pies
Oh no, I ate too much,
I ate enough.

That's me at the table,
That's me at Thankgiving,
Eating roasted chicken.
Trying to eat all this food
And I sure hope that I can do it
Oh no, I ate too much.
I ate enough.
I thought that you cooked the turkey.
I thought that you made the peas.
I think you bought that apple pie!

I'm getting hungry
I've waited many hours, for
Delicious filled crescents.
Trying to eat all this food
I look forward to this meal, meal
Oh no, I ate too much
I ate enough

The dinner's bliss,
The dinner's bliss,
The broth in the gravy,
The dinner's bliss.
Ice cream and brownies
For dessert, yum.
Who will eat all the veggies?
Pass the dinner rolls.
Now I ate, too much.

I thought that you cooked the turkey.
I thought that you made the peas.
I think you bought that apple pie!

The pie had too much creme
The pie had too much creme

That's me at the table,
That's me at Thankgiving,
Eating roasted chicken.
Trying to eat all this food
And I sure hope that I can do it
Oh no, I ate too much.
I ate enough.
I thought that you cooked the turkey.
I thought that you made the peas.
I think you bought that apple pie!

The pie had too much creme
Creme, creme, creme, creme
The pie had too much creme, too much creme, creme.
I think I started going nuts toward the end of this thing.

Hey Leb! I just ran across this and it's great! Having done this REM song once and now working on a second version, I know how hard it is to pace, and I think you did it excellently.

"Losing My Religion" came out in the 90s, not 80s. You obviously made a mistake on setting the decade
lebeiw15 - May 15, 2003 - Report this comment
Well, I obviously did, didn't I? Obviously some people have nothing better to do than check the decade on every single parody on this site! Isn't it obvious?
Ellipsis - May 16, 2003 - Report this comment
Yes. It's just that "losing my religion" came out in the year 1991, which is certainly in the 90s. I'm sorry if it bugs ya

Thanks, Meriadoc and Milson, for your comments, I didn't even see them earlier!! And yes Ellipsis I knew that, like I said, I made a mistake while submitting this
