The Lyrics

I'm at badave.com
what shall I say
da da da hey
um blah bum ba de dum

Pressure building in the plates
Deep down in the Earth
Mostly in shores

Seismic Pressure
It shakes up the whole ground
Splits a tower in four
Puts rubble in the street

Go get prepared
Go get prepared
for that day
for that day
Now buddy

If the ground begins shaking
Don't you dare run about
Crouch in a good spot
and don't look around
Stay till it goes
Watch for tremors
Shaking ground's scary
Scary you'll see

ga ga gey mm hm
blah da wa sha shake
O.k.

Stay in your house - do not run up to the store
You'll be okay if you heed my words of course

Me ca so say
Stuttering all day
Love hos hos
and sap

Shaking all the streets ba da do wop eh?
Shaking all the streets doobey doobey doo day doo day

With the Richter exploding
It just might make you shout
Magnitude says ten
Rupturing fault lines
Hope tomorrow
is much calm. .calmer. . .calmer
Be prepared people
Don't panic please

Cannot laugh at it all, can't blame you man
It's meant to teach-I hope it works
Just looking out for you -- so hope you read and learn

Shake - shake - shake
Hands on head crouch down low

The grounds opens up Seismic Pressure it's shaking
Hope this don't cause an avalanche
We must be cautious to have a chance
You must be cautious, cautious, cautious . . .

Some run and some cry It safer
to stay inside and cover
Yourself in a crouch near a wall
Though it scares you You will survive
Most every Earth Quake
Shaking will soon end
Shaking will soon end
Shaking will end
Seismic Pressure
Seismic Pressure
Earthquake

See... Under Pressure wasn't an early 70's song. I told you so! I'm also quite astute when it comes to Earthquakes: http://www.amiright.com/parody/90s/creed15.shtml

The rumblings of a good parody here

Whoa, ol' Freddie sure did babble a lot in this song, didn't he? Looks like a very difficult one to do. Good idea, and very educational.

I really expected more creativity from you in Freddie's scats, but you still shook me. 555

Nice take on the video too. I can totally see where you got this idea.

DKTOS, but having lived through several, I liked your tectonic phonic... Didja' know they say that Tennessee and New York are likely future quake spots? 5.55 on the Richter scale.

"Magnitude says ten"? Pretty scary stuff, BAD, but it gets you three 5s from this southern California epicenter.
San Andreas - January 26, 2009 - Report this comment
It's not my fault!
Christie Marie M - January 26, 2009 - Report this comment
This is one groundbreaking parody, Dave!!! Like Matthias says, it measures 5.55 magnitudes on the Richter scale!

Thanks everyone for support of my attempt at educational humor, glad you all enjoyed it:)

Great parody, Dave, and the Richter Scale reading for this earth-shaking parody is 5.55. BTW, I have often been subjected to jokes about California's infamous fault line on behalf of my name, along with a parody by Airfarcewon with a play on "San Andreas Fault" with my name shoved in as a title, but they never bothered me. In fact, the parody was quite a laugh-inducer.

don't have much to say, well writen but not funny so your name fits this well. (not that i have much room to talk)

Thank you everyone, except gary who clearly missed that this one aimed more for an educational angle and insisted on playing on my name, not the kind of person who I want to associate with. . .
