The Lyrics

Back when the "Harry Potter" franchise first earned mainstream popularity, the series' themes of witchcraft and wizardry gained scrutiny from religious groups who accused it of promoting occultism or even satanism. Nowadays, J. K. Rowling has made a pariah of herself amongst her fanbase who denounced the author for her transphobic statements and depictions of them in her later novels, to the point that both Warner Bros. and the series film cast disassociated themselves from the author and denounced her as well.

I thought it would be morbidly funny to co-opt John Michael Osbourne's song about a weirdo occultist who inspired the likes of L. Ron Hubbard and Anton LaVey and turn it into a song mocking Rowling who went from a butt of occultism accusations to the butt of transphobia criticism.
Mrs. Rowling, what went down in your head?
Oh Mrs. Rowling, what you said we all dread
The plots in your books about magic
Kids and teens love it all;
Transgender to you is so toxic
Yeah, you're Voldemort after all

J. K. Rowling, are you that insecure?
It's so disgusting; the cast members revolt
Minority groups you alluded
Look you up with all glee
Betrayed all your fans like an idiot
And your rep's now a travesty

Mrs. Rowling, you're a bigot, of course
Oh, Mrs. Rowling, the fans want a divorce
Your social views are so lacking
Of tact and tolerance
Why would I support someone caustic?
Has-been washed-up author and all

Are you irrationally bent?
A hypocrite I resent
A hypocrite, a hypocrite I resent, yeah
Regardless of your views on the LGBTQ+ community, I personally think a sense of tact and respect towards everyone should be in order, that's all.

Funny how she went out of her way to say she WAS INVITED to talk for the reunion special, but declined. I wonder about that. The whole situation is pretty sad and hypocritical

@Agrimorfee - Sad indeed. Like, you wrote a series of novels portraying a marginalised group thought of by the outside world as outcasts, deviants and heathens, yet you'd end up being no different from the villains in those novels yourself. What a broken aesop.

Yes I am quite aware of that, I have been here since 2000, and the unfettered Unobombing of perfectly fine work is an ongoing issue that has rendered the voting feature utterly useless and has turned many folks off from contributing. As with this parody, any commentary I have contributed to this site has never been anything less than civil, so I have no regrets nor any compunction to change how I leave comments..
