The Lyrics

I guess after 98 parodies I might be running out of ideas.....

Stew and try , bend a little, sub, chop
Try to shape a lampoon; but new, funny; it's not
Just debris, take a break and yawn
And one by one, ideas gone
Hack at keys, buggin' the wife here
Flashing message; F: drive full, near
Bloating up my little drive
99 dead lampoons won't fly

99 dead lampoons
Bloating up my small flash drive
Tragic hell, make words convert
Make something clear from something else
The pun machine slings a write
Empty cup, beleagured: I
Focusing in on the sly
But 99 dead lampoons go dry

I can't find precision sweet
Such a fine sinister treat
I worry, scurry; pooper flurry
Get the scoop out in a hurry
Now I've got these grated nerves
This is it, oy! It's a chore
It's evident I need some wine
Cuz 99 dead lampoons awry

99 writes, I do swear
Tried super high tech 'net rhymers
Coming up with stupid zero
Feeling like a vapid jerk
I order up a pizza pie
With ham 'n cheese on seedless rye
Scramble in some eggs and fry
99 dead lampoons oh my

99 dead lampoons buh-bye

99 schemes I have had
And every one a dead lampoon
It's foul odor and it isn't pretty
It's a bust, oh what a pity
And I did try, I persevered
All my ideas disappeared
And here are my dead lampoons
I think I'm blue; I hit delete.........

.
No, I didn't really delete them...yet. And it's lot more than 99 I've started and not completed yet. Someday....;-)

Unique, tongue-in-cheek self-bash

Way to go, blackjack!! Another fine ditty from you! I second to what AFW said above! I myself run out of ideas as well and I posted a parody for today called "Financial Hell" about this bad economy. Anyways, here's 5's for this sketch lampoon!!

I certainly hope you don't run out of ideas, blackjack! I have a touch of writer's block right now as far as starting a new parody from scratch goes, but I am working off and on with some parodies kicking around on my computer and on several flash drives. Your parody was very enjoyable, and I will give you some 5s to make up for the 1s that someone left for you without telling why they left them.

Excellent title switch and execution...great job on the rhymes...especially lol'd on the 'I can't find precision sweet' verse!!!...555!!! (And completely mystified as to why this would get one-bombed!!!)

Keep dealing them out, blackjack! You always come up 21 on this site!!!

Your "parody idea" file sounds a lot like my "parody idea" file. Are you sure I'm not you? ;)

TT suffers daily headaches from FG's ideas for title switches, but seeming inability to ever bring a lyric to completion. (Sometimes they don't even get started.) The pressure to be the Closer-- poor dear.

AFW: A sleek critique, thanks for commenting.

Christie: Many thanks for taking time to comment. :-)

Andria: What you and everyone else comment means a lot more than anonymous votes. Commenting takes some thought and effort, while voting without a comment takes neither. Thanks for your effort. :-)

Leo: Thanks for the kind words. Hard to say what drives the 1-bombs, but there seems to be a lot of them today.

Mark: 21? OK, that's 2 for pacing and 1 for how funny...but you left out the overall vote. ;-D j/k, thanks for the encouragement!

Fiddlegirl...that you? ;-D I'm really not sure who anyone is anymore, but glad you stopped by to comment. :-)

blackjack, when you said you're nor sure who anyone is, are you implying that there is someone impersonating, say, me, Christie or AFW, all of whom have unique commenting styles? There was an AFW impersonator awhile back, but he was nothing like the real thing. I would be nearly impossible to impersonate as far as comments go... or maybe there are only two people (me and you) and one turtle commenting here...

Andria: No, I don't see any mass impersonating going on, though there are some similarities between you and Christie. ;-)
