The Lyrics

DKTOS? These lyrics are fairly well formatted and mostly accurate. Some of this came from the Mr. Mister misheard lyrics archives. This song was more overplayed (and misheard) than truly awful, but it still gets skewered.
[intro]

Words we - don't understand
So we can't sing along
With tunes from this band....

Sometimes - lines don't come out - *mmrph* clear!
But still I - play it all by ear
I eat you slow?.....
Is....that....so.......?

Take - this broken song
And throw it far away or learn to sing it please!
And we hear - the lyrics wrong
Like "book of Buffalo Bill will let us in
Jake - he's broken wind...."

Maybe - I'll sing it twice
Turn a 2 minute song
Into 5!

ooh......

Maybe... - that's all we know
That you haven't the flesh
And blood that makes me old......
Is that so....

So take - this broken song
And throw it far away before our eardrums seize!
'cause it's clear - it just goes on
And sounds confused he's got Ms-sues! - and I'm not wrong
Yeah yeah.....

Lettuce sin.............

[somewhat of a solo here]

Lettuce sin.............

Lazy - well maybe so
Writer's block is my guess
Repeat lines 'til they're old
Yeah yeah yeah...

Blab blab....

So take - this broken song
Don't play it once again - make it rest in peace!
Because it's clear - it just goes on
And sounds confused, and well this tune - is wearing long
Slay.... this broken song
It's got to burn and fry, turn it to a parody
Because it's clear - it just goes on
And sounds confused, and well this tune I croon is wearing long
Yeah yeah

Yeah yeah

Ugh!......

Another of what Stuart McArthur so accurately called the "Tunes I Wish They Could Un-sing." Five sets of earplugs.

Very good, 555. This song isn't too bad, true. I used to like alot, but that wore off after awhile. Check your PMs when you can.

DKTOS but enjoyed the read, Red.

Take these brand new 5s

"I eat you slow?....." That's the only way to do it! (can't rush these things). Ms-sues? Lettuce sin? You're getting brilliant with these. Free hives. (misheard for 3 5s).

btw, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" came on the radio today. Couldn't help but think it was prime meat for an Ant-bite. Lots of previous parodies, but none seem to be about the inanity of the OS itself. For info on how little inspiration GH had for this song, see 3w.beatles-discography.com/w.html. Maybe something like, "While I'm A Star, This Song Creeps".... I'm sure that you can come up with something better than that.

yes, and if only we could throw this song far away to a universe even further away, it wouldn't need to be unsung - well done, Red - 555

btw, I did vote/post at "Dixon Nuts", and since you liked the other grammar one, here is one that changes 180 degrees with nothing but punctuation changes:

(v.1) Woman, without her man, is nothing.
(v.2) Woman: without her, man is nothing.

This one, like the one yesterday that I forgot to credit, is again from "Eats, Shoots, & Leaves", (c 2003) Lynn Truss. 3w.eatsshootsandleaves.com/

Thanks Michael, AFW, Rick C, Larry, TT, and Stu. Tommy Turtle: "Lettuce Sin" was a misheard lyric of "Let us in". "Ms-sues" was not a misheard lyric, rather a play on the words "Missus" and "Issues", in other words women problems. Stu: I totally forgot that this song was included in your medal-winning parody. Sorry about that.
