Parody Song Title:

"Bush's Mistake"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Guaranteed to offend the "Bush Lied" crowd. Let me explain the difference: A lie is when you say something you KNOW to be incorrect, a mistake is when you something you think is correct, but is not. If Bush the Younger is really as stupid as some allege, the latter possibility would make more sense.
Cease fire agreement, Saddam defied
The boys are itchin' to go back
Tell us Dubya, is it party time?
Will we now invade Iraq?

George Tenet said "slam dunk"
He thought that we would find them
But they have not turned up
For two years we've been trying
Thinking

It's a mistake, it's a mistake
It's a mistake, it's a mistake

Saddam the tyrant then hid away
But he could not stay on the run
You may not know it, our press won't say
We've killed insurgents by the ton

The left won't make distinction
No benefit of doubt
They now accuse George Dubya
They just will not allow, maybe

'Twas a mistake, was a mistake
Dubya's mistake, Dubya's mistake

Tell us, you critics, how do you know
That Bush knew then what we know now?
Want a schedule, bring our troops back home?
Protesters say, "throw in the towel"

We should not leave too soon
Not in our toughest hour
Al Qaeda's favorite tune
Is when we run and cower
That will

Be a mistake, be a mistake
Be a mistake, be a mistake

It's a mistake, it's a mistake
It's a mistake, it's a mistake

Actually, it's very possible to have it both ways when you're a Kerry-crat, and it's not a new thing either: according to the "ism" part of Nazism, the Jews were somehow both racially inferior degenerates and amazingly clever shysters who were cheating deserving Aryans out of their racial and economic destiny at the same time.

Further back yet, the blacks were, to hear slaveholders speak, subhuman creatures of inferior intellect fit for nothing but slavery who were, however, cleverly plotting some kind of revolution against their masters for which the racially superior slavemaster had to be on his guard at all times.

The difference in this case is that most of the hatred is concentrated on one man: "Chimpy McBushitler" who somehow is supposed to be combining amazing stupidity with a deviously ingenious plan to steal all of our liberties from us. (Oh, and if you dispute that Bush is a subhuman simian, you're a racist too.)

Of course, maybe blacks and Jews are just people like everyone else. Maybe Bush is just an ordinary human of more-or-less ordinary intelligence who makes unremarkable mistakes just like everyone else and has actually done a fair job in the face of unusually rotten circumstances and appalling political extremism. But then what do I know? I mean, I don't even believe those reports that Bush has a secret military base on the dark side of the moon and he's planning to nuke Santa Claus for being an illegal immigrant. I don't even believe there is a Santa Claus! Shows what I know...

Good opening statement, and the 5's are from me.

Either Bush is the liar we think he is, or he truly believes the untruths he spouts. So you're saying we can only have one or the other? The truth is, the American people want neither! If we'd known in November 2004 what we know now, the bum would've won nine States.

Very well done, Steve. There is one person on the left who does understand what we are accomplishing and who gives the administration the benefit of the doubt. And I have to agree with Joe Lieberman, who has been to Iraq, and confirms that profound progress is being made and that Iraqis are very confident about their future. Senator Lieberman also acknowledges the necessity of leaving troops there to finish the job.

A Quinnipiac poll out today shows that 49% of the respondents believe that Bush deliberately misled the country into going to war; 40% believe we should get out immediately. And Bin Laden lives . . . Why are we in Iraq when Bin Laden is still roaming his country?
