The Lyrics

A tribute to an early obscure Superhero that was eventually picked up by DC- the Blue Beetle. This version concerns the original neighborhood rookie cop Dan Garret who, with the help of Doctor Franz, uses a bullet-proof suit and secret formula Vitamin 2-X to give him added strength to fight various villains. He also carries with him a blue scarab found in an archeological dig as his call sign to criminals and to inspire fear. On his heels is Joan Mason of the Daily Blade newspaper trying to get a story and also his stereotypical Irish police partner Mannigan that thinks the Blue Beetle is really a criminal himself!!!
Blue Beetle, Blue Beetle

When you see him, be aware that he’s a cop fighting crime
Where there's trouble, he arrives, thugs run for cover
He‘s armored, light as silk but stronger outside
They’re firing round after-round
But he‘s too tough, escape- but they can't

[Chorus]
Scarab symbol has meaning, Blue Beetle
Powerful crime defeating, Blue Beetle
Scarab symbol has meaning, Blue Beetle
Powerful crime defeating, Blue Beetle

Strange Vitamin 2-X, made by Doctor Franz
Portable telephone alerts him in advance
On the look-out on his beat, he seeks out criminals
Joan Mason falling at his feet
Daily Blade wants to nail him-but can’t

Scarab symbol has meaning, Blue Beetle
Powerful crime defeating, Blue Beetle
Scarab symbol has meaning, Blue Beetle
Powerful crime defeating, Blue Beetle

[Intermediate]
A double life, no one would believe
A double life, he manages somehow

He‘s armored, light as silk but stronger outside
They’re firing round after-round
But he‘s too tough, escape- but they can't

Scarab symbol has meaning, Blue Beetle
Powerful crime defeating, Blue Beetle
Scarab symbol has meaning, Blue Beetle
Powerful crime defeating, Blue Beetle

A double life, no one would believe
A double life, he manages somehow

He‘s armored, light as silk but stronger outside
They’re firing round after-round
But he‘s too tough, escape- but they can't

Blue Beetle
Wow! Blue Beetle!
Wow! Blue Beetle!
Wow! Blue Beetle!

Scarab symbol has meaning, Blue Beetle
Powerful crime defeating, Blue Beetle
Scarab symbol has meaning, Blue Beetle
Powerful crime defeating, Blue Beetle

Partner Mannigan thinks he’s a criminal…!!!

The original Blue Beetle was from Fox Comics, then on to Charleston, then DC AFAIK...
