Song Parodies -> "Women"

Original Song Title:

"Woman"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

John Lennon

Parody Song Title:

"Women"

Parody Written by:

Forteen and Baeutiful

The Lyrics

Women,
Did God ever explain
Why men got penises and you got brains?
Once you hear it, the rationale is plain
And Women
God did not stop at smarts
Cause men got balls, but you got all the heart
Why'd you get all the most important parts?

God loves... you, well, well...
God loves... you, well, well...

Women,
Did God ever express
Why you're so competent while we're a mess
And our bumbling is cause of a lot of distress
And Women,
Why can't men be like you?
Men who are blessed with brains and hearts are too few
Not only warm and loving but with some intellect, too
God loves... you, well, well...
God loves... you, well, well...

I don't think this parody is very funny because i'm a guy. I find it very sexist. Sexism is a big time no-no in my book. It depends on the individual, not the gender. I know that I am a naive guy and all but i'm pretty smart when it comes to identifying classic rock songs and i'm very good at spelling.

Yes, but your capitalization needs work.

This is a very sexist, feminist song. I imagine you are one of those stupid feminazis that say sexism is wrong, then say women are better than men. I am shocked Chuck accepted this.

Sexy or sexist is fine -- sexual is not.
Your Worst Nightmare - May 17, 2004 - Report this comment
What are you talking about, Fourteen?? Sexism is fine? And since when was "sexual" a noun? Be less cryptic.
FAB - May 18, 2004 - Report this comment
What's criptic? The rule is no parities about sexual activity. You don't know the difference between sexy sexual and sexist? Talk to your friend Noah Webber.

It's good to hear chauvenistic comments from the guys complaining that this parody is "too sexist". I thought it was funny, but offensive. Next time you plan on posting a feminist parody, I'd leave a disclaimer saying that you do not own the world and your opinions don't mean anything in the long run. Even if you don't believe so. Just to be safe.
Your Worst Nightmare - May 19, 2004 - Report this comment
So it is chauvenistic, EmiLoca, to be against sexism?
FAB - May 19, 2004 - Report this comment
This isn't suppose to be controvertial. It's just a lightharted poking fun at how silly men can be. Geez. liten up a little. It's a parity!
Phil Alexander - May 20, 2004 - Report this comment
> It's a parity!
...parity error...
I don't get why the complaints, either - "Men who are blessed with brains and hearts are too few" is definitely a truism :-)
FAB - May 22, 2004 - Report this comment
Phil, what's a party error? Bad orderves?
Phil Alexander - May 23, 2004 - Report this comment
A parity error (with an 'i') is where the contents of a bit of memory doesn't match its parity bit - indicative of a faulty chip; not to be confused with bad hors d'oevres, or even Captain Flint saying "pieces of seven" ;-)
FAB (ulus!) - May 24, 2004 - Report this comment
Well, Phil, I guess I'm all beauty and no brains, because I don't understand most of what you said about parity bits and Captain Flint. Thats ok. Thanks for dropping by anyway.
Phil Alexander - May 25, 2004 - Report this comment
Old joke, I'm afraid - Captain Flint is Long John Silver's parrot: there's a cartoon with him saying "Pieces of seven" (instead of "Pieces of eight"), with the caption "Long John Silver discovers first parroty error"

...oldest rule of comedy: if you've got to explain it, it ain't funny ;-)
Justin - January 11, 2005 - Report this comment
How sexist! I definitely agree with most everyone here by saying this is definitely defamation and probably blaspheme. Oh, and one more thing: it's hors d'oeuvres.

Yeah, I remember spotting that after I'd posted it, but couldn't be bothered to remove and retype... Anyway, although this parody is by definition sexist, what's defamatory about it? And blasphemous??? You need to get out more.

Disgusting and sexist. This is what happens when politicle correctness reaches its inevitable hypercritical conclusions. I wish I could rate this a 0-0-0.
