The Lyrics

You got kids, you got worms! LOL!! :-D
Early in the morning, we miss the bus
The first one they blame, is of course us
Then they say, “There is nothing to discuss”
Gets us moving in the wrong direction
They do their best to give their care that last forever
It seems what they do only gets worse instead of better

Doing it all to our children
Showing them violent movies and TV
We’re doing it all to our children
Then we expect them to ‘act’ responsibly

Later in the day, a busy day at school
They say to sit, right down and do your homework
If we’re under their roof, we’ll follow their rules
Now that we’re with them, that’s when they act like jerks
They do their best to give their care that last forever
It seems what they do only gets worse instead of better

Doing it all to our children
Being as disciplined as we can be
We’re doing it all to our children
Then we expect them to ‘behave’ responsibly

(Instrumental Break….)

Doing it all to our children
Being the worst examples we can be
We’re doing it all to our children
Then we expect them to ‘grow up’ responsibly

Doing it, Doing it
(Doing it, Doing it, Doing it, Yeah)
Doing it, Doing it, Ooo, Ooo, Ooo

Doing it (Doing it), Doing it, (Doing it)
(Doing it, Doing it, Doing it, Yeah)
Doing it (Doing it), Doing it, (Doing it), Ooo, Ooo, Ooo

(Doing it all to our children)
Doing it all to our children
(Doing it all to our children)
Will they ever show responsibility?
(Doing it all to our children)
Doing it all to our children
(Doing it all to our children)
Suits them fine….
Get out your crayons, and write those V's and C's on the wall! ;-)

Wild - Thought-provoking! Dorothy Parker said it - "Real wit has truth in it. Wisecracking is merely verbal gymnastics." This is wit! ;D

Thanks OMR for your V and C! And yes, sometimes "wits" is all I have when writing parodies like these. ;-)

Excellent! I love it! We get raised up to be "mature" and "respectable" and then when you grow up and enter an "adult" world full of BS'ers and moneygrabbers. Things are a mess now because hardly anyone set a good example but you set a good example on how to write an accurate perfect song parody. You took some time to come up with winner and it shows : )
