Hey

Jenny, Jenny, who can I prank on?
You haven't talked to me now in so long
I see you hanging around in my school a lot
Hanging out with those like you-other goths

Jenny I got your number
I'm gonna prank you tonight
Jenny don't change your number

I'm so disgusted with the thought that the Goo Goo Dolls covered this song, I couldn't vote on it. Sorry.

Static - Now THIS song I knew, although I didn't notice you were parodying the Goo Goo Dolls version until I got down and read the other comment. Well, the "Goo-Goo's" must have been close to original because it worked for me. Original was?? I'm thinking Tommy somethingorother??? Anyway, good work - 5&5&5...
who cares what my name is - December 22, 2003 - Report this comment
Maybe the Goo Goo Dolls did cover it, I don't know. But what I do know is that they couldn't have done so in the 80s, because they didn't even have any stuff back then. Tommy Tutone originally recorded it, and his version is from the 80s. But if the GooGoo Dolls did cover it, it was probably from the 90s or 00s.

this..is a reply to 'who cares what my name is' and his comment of 'they couldnt have done it in the 80s since they didnt even have any stuff back then' last time i checked their first album was released in 85. on metal blade. no. cellophane before it tanked. and then went to metal blade, where they stayed until 93 which was superstar carwash, which was split with metal blade. or. some other crap. 'details' arent available. but yeah. i believe their covered version was right around 90? johnnys voice is. old. and he sounds quite drunk. anyway. i like your version =D

Okay, if the GGD did have stuff in the eighties, I believe you. But none of their songs back then were hits though. So if you say they made their cover version around 90, then it would be 90s.
