Parody Song Title:

"Interzone"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Somewhere in a New York apartment
there's a guy starting to realize that he cannot
fit into society. He shot his wife

He shot his wife.
The high has gone
He's sitting there waitin'
The spoon's still warm
He learned that playing with guns makes him go to Mexico
Sucking on candy bars
Teeth are falling out
Bradley the Buyer
Is leaving no doubt
Cellular phones are just carnivorous fireflies

Chorus
Help I'm drifting off into Interzone
Steely Dan 1 and 2
Feels like being boned
Junkies and young boys
Nodding all the time
I think I'm in too far

Help I'm drifting off into Interzone
Steely Dan 1 and 2
Feels like being boned
Junkies and young boys
Nodding all the time
I think I'm in too far

Soon you will come to know
When the needle hits the soul
Soon you will come to know
When the needle hits the soul

Writing a book in Tangiers
Having a naked lunch
Cockroaches everywhere, with a hunch
Typewriters on their backs
Where's my adding machine?

The smell of baboon's asses
In the desert night
Causes some people stage fright
When the agent comes
He knows damn well
He's been depleted
And he says

Help I'm drifting off into Interzone
Steely Dan 1 and 2
Feels like being boned
Junkies and young boys
Nodding all the time
I think I'm in too far

Help I'm drifting off into Interzone
Steely Dan 1 and 2
Feels like being boned
Junkies and young boys
Nodding all the time
I think I'm in too far

Soon you will come to know
When the needle hits the soul
Soon you will come to know
When the needle hits the soul

Soon you will come to know
When the needle hits the soul
Soon you will come to know
When the needle hits the soul

Not everyone would get this one - unless they read Naked Lunch, which is written by William S. Burroughs

That... Burroughs... "Butte, state of Montany, and her was a sportin' woman. Blue crystals... 'I got myself hid good.' Coke bugs, kid. Baby ruths, he like those special. Schlup. The independent, only use saps. No guns. Special radar..." Finally, someone writes a 'parody' that requires thought. Thank you ever so much.
