Recently some cops in St Joseph, Missouri were practicing with paintball firing pistols in an old school building. When they went to lunch they replaced the paintball guns with their service pistols. After lunch, they went back to the school for more training. This one cop decides to startle his buddy by shooting him with a paintball. Only problem, he still had his real pistol and put a .40 caliber hole through a fellow officer. Talk about an "Ach scheisse!". Of course, like the DEA guy who shot himself in the foot, police are the only ones who can be trusted to handle firearms. Look up the number of cops who are shot with their own weapons. Almost never happens to a armed civilian. In fact, there are a lot of cases on record of unarmed victims taking guns away from criminals and shooting them.
