The Lyrics

I've Must Of Watched A Thousand Shows
They're Interrupted By The News
But All I See Is The Twin Towers
Are Covered With Smoke

George Bush Was On The News That Day
It Was Tragic Since Kennedy Died
But I Still See The Airplane Marks
It Was Also Bin Ladens Choice

There's Too Many Dead
Too Many People
Crying On Channel 7
And Not Much Love To Go Round
Can't You See
It Was On 9/11

Now This Is The Place We Live In
And These Are The Heroes Of Faith
Use Them And Let's Start Trying
To Make New York A Safer Place

Bin Laden Come Out Right Now
You're Responsible For All The Deaths
Saddam And You Are Partners
You Were The Control Of The Day

This Is The Time
This Is The Place
So We Look For The People
All The Love And Peace Are Dead
This All Happened On 9/11

Now This Is The Place We Live In
And These Are The Heroes Of Faith
Use Them And Lets Start Trying
To Make New York A Safer Place

I Remember Long Ago
Reading The Newspaper
The Cops Of New Jersey
All In The State
Osama Bin Laden Is Laughing
Like A Wildcat
So Long Ago

I Won't Be Going Out Tonight
Until George Bush Gets It Right
We're Not Just Making Promises
That We Know, Bin Laden Is Bad

Too Many Dead
Too Many People
Crying On Channel 7
And Not Too Much Love Go Round
Can't You See
Is Was On 9/11

Now This Is The Place We Live In
And These Are The Heroes Of Faith
Use Them And Lets Start Trying
To Make New York A Safer Place

This Is The Place We Live In
And These Are The Kids We're Loving
Stand Up And Let's Start Talking
To Soldiers Who'll Kill Bin Laden

A touchy subject, but well-written.

The (too many) people crying shown on TV was not limited to Channel 7 three years before I commented on this. I was at school when the terrorists attacked the very soil where I was born. Anyway, that was a very touching parody. I got that moment stuck in my noodle and it would remain in my heart...FOREVER.

Fine tribute Jessie, Thanks for remembering and for writing this. Too many Americans forget too quickly. God Bless.

It was also a bad time in my family when it happened. My brother had died not long before and I could understand the grief of the families. Now with Beslan having happened since, I can't understand it when people say there's nothing in the papers. For instance, Anthea Turner (TV presenter) having her boobs done and Posh Spice having another kid is nothing compared to what these people have gone through.

Great choice for a parody. I have never seen "Farhenheit 9/11", but my sister did not like that movie and she does not like Michael Moore, either.

Not bad. Of course, one may think that you are one of the few who actually believe Saddam was attached to the 9/11 attacks, which most people agreed was not the case, but that aside, not bad at all.
