The Lyrics

I wanted to tackle a difficult, repetitive song, and went "Ape" crazy with it... Tribute to the entire Planet Of The Apes movie series, T.V. series, Movie remake And the "three role" ape actor, Roddy McDowell:
Oww apes are gonna brain us
Hear me Dr. Zaius..
Free free free free me Dr. Zaius

Apes need Taylor's crime talking stopped
For sure time's suckered
Over slept netted Landon flat
Eyes sure seen, corp gorillas
Captured like cat

They're damned dirty apes who stank
Put in prison stripped me down
And I screamed:
Man's gone so tell me Dr. Zaius

Our war, humans are our war so bizarre you're time's altered
Ape laws, no man's there
Ape lore, shrine there on coast
Forbidden city
Down past reefs:

Zira had told me Dr. Zaius

Dr. Zaius God has made us, apes just blame us
Dr. Zaius Zira tamed us, now she freed us
Dr. Zaius Took him with us, then you'll know God had made us

Ride on and show us Dr. Zaius
Gotta save us, ships will find us, Dr. Zaius
Nova with us, Zaius hates us, man's like lettuce
Wants to hunt us, in zoos apes pet us, no no no Dr. Zaius

Ship soared with planet earth space team
And right here there's signs
Found plastic dolly, talks for sure
What man was making it?

Where lies apedome? Mankind sure will make a stand and chant
Your war on man just soured
Taylor wept when seeing hunk
For sure Statue's arm bore warlike scores shows man's here
Taylor just flat stares
Our wars why? Now knows..
Damn you all to hell
And apes reap:

I know you warned me Dr. Zaius

Dr. Zaius, war created, blew our status
Man degraded, apes became us, Dr. Zaius
Ape world on us, Dr. Zaius, oh oh oh who will save us?

Under rocks we hide don't blame us..
Apes can't tame us Dr. Zaius, man created
Bombs that fried us, Zira hide us, cave time buys us
They're gonna find us Dr. Zaius, now now now apes will blame us

Beneath planet sequel finds us...

One day maybe come out apes see man's way
Maybe apey chooses to be manly
Man's cave shock waves nuke it ending we'll see
films go on..
Apey baby third hit to see movie
Baby apey commits to lead army
Apely stately rule it, man sees ending

Apes reclaimed us Dr. Zaius, man's new status
Ape is famous Ceasar beat us, Dr. Zaius
That's Cornelius, Roddy played it, and and and Ceasar too, yes...
T.V series Rod played Galen, third role ape blessed
Tim remade us Dr. Zaius, Burton obsessed
Wahlberg ape dressed, Burton's genius, but but but not as good as
Dr. Zaius...

"Get your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape!"...but leave this parody! By the Lawgiver, this is great! ;D

Didn't this idea originate with Family Guy? It sounds really familiar like I heard this idea somewhere before but I can't recall where. It was either Family Guy or Futurama.

"monkey" shines of thanks to you, OMR! To Matthias, thanks. I don't watch Family Guy much, so i didn't get the idea from there. It just rang in my head when I decided to take it on...

This came from The Simpsons, "Planet of the Apes, The Musical", starring Troy McClure when he made his comeback after acquiring Selma Bouvier as a sham wife to squelch rumors of an unconventional sex life involving fish. I can understand if not condone Tommy Turtle's occasional references to sheep. But fish! ¿Cómo se hace eso? The Simpsons reference only used a couple of lines, not the entire song.

That's it! The Simpsons! Thanks Patrick I knew it was some popular animated television show but I thought it would have been Family Guy since they're the ones to always steal references to popular culture in order to enhance their jokes.

Thanks, Patrick. I'll have to look for that one on The Simpsons...

I agree with all comments, especially the part where they mention The Simpsons episode. Yeah when I saw that episode, I was laughing. Anyways, about your parody, great job working on it, especially on a repetitive OS. Loved the switch of chorus and go 'ape' with some 5's!

I remember seeing that bit on The Simpsons too. I guess great minds think alike! Super job!

Very good job of dealing with the repetitiousness, particularly the "Bombs that fried us, Zira hide us, cave time buys us" line.
