The Lyrics

Agrimorfee's Attic is a temporary series of submissions spotlighting how much better I have gotten as a parody writer compared to twenty+ years ago. "Schlock Of Ages" just happened to mind when I was bored one day, watching Def Leppard's video on MTV. A true mishmosh of misheard lyric, freestyling (as defined and performed by Red Ant and Below Average Dave elsewhere on Amiright), adolescent potty humor and satire. Enjoy!
(eeny, miney, miney, mo! Alright!)
I got something to say
It's time to fool around
Come and do it all day!
Come and have some fun!

C'mon! Rise up, gather 'round
If you are feelin' down
I was trying to write a song, but I couldn't think of a premise to go on
Right on! (Write on!)
I couldn't think of one, YEAH!
So instead of a sensible parody, I'll do something dumb instead

What do you want? What do you want?
( I gotta go to the bathroom!)
Oh you do?
(Only the bathroom!)
Well sorry, dude, you have to wait, because this is my time now!
I don't care if it takes all night, we're gonna get this darned song right!

(Pardon!) What do you want?
What do you want?
(I gotta go to the bathroom!)
All right!
(Only the bathroom!) Oh YEAH-YEAH!

Schlock of ages! Schlock of ages!
We're high rollin' to get the dough in!
Schlock of ages! Schlock of ages!
We're high rollin' to get the dough in!
We got the power to rot your brain in!
The money's needed...to get a new car, say YEAH!
(Yeah!!) (hyuk, hyuk, hyuk, hyuk)

Now listen to this!
I'm burnin'! Burnin'! I got a fever
I know for sure
Here is a cure
Take some Tylenol
Drink it with alcohol
And then, and then, and then you won't have a fever no more! Yeah!

What do you want?(What do you want?)
I gotta go to the bathroom!
(I said you could!)
Well I gotta go again!...

(guitar solo)

Schlock of ages! Schlock of ages!
That's what we're singin'! Your ears are stingin'!
Schlock of ages! Schlock of ages
That's what we're singin'! Your ears are stingin'!

We got the power to rot your brain in!
The money's needed...to get a new car!
Say YEAH!! (YEAHH!!)

The song's almost over right now (YOO-HOO!)
Bang your head on the ground!

(hyuk, hyuk, hyuk, hyuk...huh?)

Like your newest “Malibu” parody this one was pretty random and all over the place but it’s pretty cool to see some of your work done before I was even born!

(Artistry) Well, that sure was a thing. For a parody meant to be nonsense, it didn't seem to be silly enough. Not really one for the ages, I have to say.
