The turkey lies before me,
Let's make Thanksgiving the way
It used to be.

I am older now,
I have much for which I'm thankful,

And there's so much good food baking

Turkey will be basted on this day.

You couldn't wait for Christmas,

Who got better toys.

Look around you now,
You got most of what you wanted.
Look at your whole life, you have a lot of joys.
