Fried chicken mentioned in the parody (just because the president and First Family are black, doesn't mean they eat fried chicken all the time, just as me being of Scottish descent doesn't mean I eat haggis every day), the parody sucks in terms of content, pacing and humor, and even the rhyming, one of the few strong points of your work normally, isn't as good as usual. I hate being your worst critic, PI, but pretty much every parody author has their worst critic. 2-1-1.

Obama is not promoting "ghetto bro's", his affiliations lean toward white communists, that's the culture he grew up in and identifies with. Still, you're right about this depression lasting forever.

I and my parodies have been no friend of Obama's, but the recession started with the housing bubble burst of late 2005-2006, which was caused by the Community Redevelopment Act of 1997, ... it all goes back to the creation of the Fed in 1913.

And yeah, the fried-chicken thing was totally out-of-line, and Kennedy's death had nothing to do with the recession, either, although we did four parodies lambasting his getting away with manslaughter, during all the heroic eulogies. Stick to the facts, not to name-calling and irrelevancies, and your points will be much stronger. Lots of misinformed speech everywhere - Net, TV, radio, graffiti - but the right of free speech includes the right of misinformed free speech. (Otherwise, the nation would be ghastly silent. If the 1st Amendment survives another 3 years, we'll have plenty of material to work with. The Southern Poverty Law Center is dredging up the old "hate group" propaganda about right-wing "militias" and "racism". I know a few militia types, even a racist or two. Not one of them cares what color Obama's skin may be. As I pointed out, he has as good a claim to being Irish (see youtube for appropriate video song by good Emerald Isle singers). It's his policies that are fodder for attack. Fried chicken and watermelon jokes went out with the 1920's. I eat them myself and my skin color would blind you on a cloudy day. I do tend to rate songs higher by how well I know or like the original song. Tommy, check out "Summer of 69". Don't know how well you'll like it, but you'll find enough innuendo in the title alone, that I bet you and your collaborator will have duet from by the end of next week.

May I recommend the Firefox web browser, which comes with a built-in spell-checker? It would have flagged "caractature" in the comment box before you submitted it. Then you right-click the flagged word (underlined in red), and it gives you a choice of correct spellings that are close to what you typed -- in this case, you'd choose "caricature". (I still don't catch my own minor typos, though ;-(

Even if you don't accept the truth that the recession begain in 2001 with Bush's crazy harebrained tax scheme, and never really ended for the bottom 99 percent, most people understand that it began in 2007, also under the Midland Moron. The Democratic-controlled Congress? Bush vetoed everything they did, so you can't blame them. President Obama isn't just smarter than you are, he's a better capitalist: As the elected CEO of the corporation that owns General Motors (though it was his predecessor who "bought" it), he found out who was costing GM all that money, and fired him, and now they're doing better. Don't you right-wingers get it? Conservatism doesn't work! And when we try it, lots of people don't work. Conservatism kills jobs, liberalism brings them back.

The recession was "officially" proclaimed (by the press) as having started sometime in July 1990. The next year it got worse and the first Gulf War and the post-Cold War military cuts didn't help. George H. W. Bush said "Read my lips. No new taxes" (in 1988), but in 90/91 he eventually did anyway. By late 1992 the economy was in horrid shape and unemployed workers came to Bush Sr.'s rallies yelling "Read our slips!". Bill Clinton takes over the driver's seat. I was working in various job assignments in the mid-late 90s. Many - and I mean many of my fellow co-workers got early retirement and buyouts. They were not replaced. Bill Clinton claimed the economy was booming. Maybe it was in better shape during his first term but it wasn't doing THAT good. He won reelection. A lot of people bought what he said. I could see that it wasn't quite so. I guess that's the "Slick" in his nickname. In 2000 we had the "dot.com bubble burst". Don't forget NAFTA/CAFTA/SHAFTA which nearly ALL politicians, Repub and Democ alike, supported so enthusiastically. George W. Bush did NOTHING but put on his "war on terror" spiel (that phrase was used at least twice before - 1986 Libya war and 1998 missile attacks on al-Qaida outlets) and of course the tinhorn mafia don dousch bag who ran Iraq. Now Obama has to tackle the grossly neglected economy and other sorts of crap that has fallen onto his lap. I'm glad he's at least paying some attention. He's open to ideas from Congress and that's good but the problem is while he's intelligent but he is just ONE man. He needs assistance and input from others, he's not a "Messiah" and he can't "fix it all" himself. It must be remembered that Reaganomics took about 3 years to effectively pull America out of the post-Vietnam War recession. Pundits lambasted that "old man" in the early 80s and he went on to talk with the Russkies to bury the Cold War hatchet. If you're gonna write some parody criticizing someone please get some facts first, OK?

It wasn't a surprise to hear form Andria first. When it come to my reference of fried chicken in my parodies, she is the only one who seems to take offense. That's no surprise, given that all leftists are chicken, and we wouldn't want to be calling their brains "fried", now would we? I challenge Andria to write a better parody of the same song.

Michael Pacholek, you are wrong about the recession, as it began towards the very end of Bush's last term and got much worse at the after President Odumba's inauguration. I have yet to see one job that the democrats have brought back. The only jobs they create are in the government sector and that always means more taxes to pay. That is when small businesses fail. Democrats always consider small business the enemy. So the question is: "Do the dummycrats really get it?"
