The Lyrics

Not sure if this is going to turn out that funny, but it's a wonderful song by one my all-time favourite artists, so please enjoy...It's mostly fact, a nice little song written for this girl who I pretty much love more than life itself...but she dosent know it yet. She's one of my closest friends, and I'd do anything for her, so this is a cute little parody about my attempts to communicate my feelings for her...one of which would be a "romantic ditty" :)
Well I fell for this lovely girl named Jessica Ann
And I don't know what to do
Each time I see her smile I feel - so alive
Gonna try and maybe drop her some clues

But there's feelings rushing in from my poor heart
And I IM'ed her just for a chat
Gonna trip and stumble my way through all these words
But the pounding tension is pushing me away from doing something like that, well I'm...

Lost in your eyes, baby that's a fact
After oh so many tries, I still hold back
I'd spill it all out - but you're too pretty
So I guess I'll write a romantic ditty

Well I'm so shy and there's no words I can say
At least I got this guitar I can sorta play
So I'll take what I know, risk it all for you
And I'll jot down some chords and a melody too

Don't be surprised, baby it's all fact
I get so lost in your eyes, so I hold back
I'd spill it all out - but you're too pretty
So I guess I'll write a romantic ditty

Hope my luck dosen't die, when my story's told
But it's all I can think to say
We could go out dinner on our first date
I'd even make sure you got no meat on your plate**

Nervous as hell, baby tha'ts a fact
Hopefully nothin that I say, I'll want to retract
I'd spill it all out, you're blindingly pretty
So for you I'll write a romantic ditty

Now there are words that I am trying so hard to find
Over here it's just confusion a-gnawing
At my poor little love-struck mind
Well I'm tired of wimping out, when I try to speak
So sweetie tongiht I wrote this song and I hope to God you don't think that I'm a freak...and I'm...

Lost in your eyes, baby that's a fact
After oh so many tries, I still hold back
I'd spill it all out - but you're too pretty
So I had to write this romantic ditty
Sorry but I had to use her real name. Not that big of a deal anyways, it's up on her MySpace page too :)** Yup she's a vegatarian
