The Lyrics

This is a song I wrote after reading The Hobbit. I basically took a map of middle earth and turned the Bahama islands into places like Rivendell and Moria. I think it worked pretty well.
Gondor, Harondor, come on babe, let's wander to
Mordor, or Moria, I don't want to bore ya
Rohan, and Mirkwood hey, I'm sure that we could,
Anorien

Off the sailor's charts,
There's a land called Middle Earth
Not where you wanna go to get away from it all

Dead bodies in the sand
Mercenaries are in demand
Best to run for cover,
To the shelter of the forest land.
Down in Middle Earth

Hobbiton, The Shire, baby, I'm no liar,
Fangorn, Orodruin, I know what I'm doin'.
Isengard, Rivendell, sell the house, we'll go dwell...

Down in Middle Earth,
A land of feasting and boundless mirth,
That's where we ought to berth,
Way down in Middle Earth.

To Minas Tirith, that Manmade monolith,

I just cannot see,
The logic of geneology,
They've got monster's here, that defy all heredity.

By campfire light,
We'll discuss the world's plight.
We'll avoid the gaze of Sauron's eye
Blazing way up in the sky,
Way down in Middle Earth.

Dunland, Enedwaith, watch out for that ring wraith,
Harlindon, Forlindon, come on now I see Sean
Aston and Orlando, baby why don't we go

Down in Middle Earth
A land of feasting and boundless mirth,
That's where we ought to berth,
Way down in Middle Earth

Minas Morgul, The home of the Nazgul.

Everybody knows
A little man with furry toes
Is an unlikely hero,
But don't let that give the wrong impression, no.
You gotta trust Frodo.

Wilderland, Loth L'orien, half-lings, dwarves, elves, orcs, men
There's Dragons, and Gollum, *or Sméagol, you could call him.
Tharbad, Minhiriath, we could take a mud bath,

Down in Middle Earth,
A land of feasting and boundless mirth,
That's where we ought to berth,
Way down in Middle Earth

Iron Hills, the Rhun sea, baby come with me,
To Bree and Evendim, Maybe bring your friend Jim,
Near Harad, Far Harad, Haradwaith and Nurn,
Ooo I want to take you down to Middle Earth

A good idea, and the chorus changed wonderfully every time it repeated. However, consistent pacing issues forces me to give you a slightly-less-than-perfect-score. 3/4/4.

w0rd. You have too much time on your hands. Awesome lyrics though.

Felix gave me all fives! Yay! (Next time, people, rate without bias! High out liers mess up the averages!) But thanks again for the perfect.

Who are you accusing of lying, Brian?

I was recently voted, in an AmIRight poll, the parodist "Most Likely to Actually Sell Her Home and Try To FIND Middle Earth for Relocation Purposes." I clicked on this SOOO wanting to love it. If anything, I came in with a BIAS in your behalf...

But when the pacing's off, I can't give fives...(because, to me, pacing also alters how funny it is...)...sorry. I'm with Emi...343...

Good rhyming! Now do they do the fancy moves shaking up the cocktails in The Prancing Pony (as demonstrated by Tom Cruise in the 'Cocktail' movie which 'Kokomo' was in)?

3-5-4 here--worse pacing than usual. Still, most of the rhymes were clever, and your descriptions would please the world's most hard-core Tolkien fan.
