The Lyrics

Wrote this fas a Glastonbury Festival camp fire song
Glaso Time

It's Glasto Time
There's no need to be afraid
At Glasto Time, there’s only ale. There’s no Lemonade
And in our camp that’s filthy, smoking weed is not a crime
Leave your toiletries at home this GlastoTime.

But say a prayer

Pray for a bit of fun
At Glasto Time it's hard, when there’s no f*cking sun
There's a world outside your tent flap
And it's a world of mud and beer
Where the only water’s flowing from the burst bank of the weir
And all the bands that play there, go back stage and shag a few
Well tonight why God is it them instead of you?!

And there won't be sun in Somerset this Glasto Time
The only thing the scousers bring is crime
(Oooh) Where nothing ever dries
Disease, rats and the flies
Do they know it's Glasto Time at all?

(Here's to you) praying for a bit of sun
(Five whole pound) for a burger in a bun!
Do they know it's Glasto Time at all?

Mi-chael-Ea-vis
Mi-chael-Ea-vis

Mi-chael-Ea-vis

Let them know it's Glasto Time again

Mi-chael-Ea-vis
Let them know it's Glasto Time again

repeat then fade

I've never been to a Glastonbury festival. Heck, I don't even know where Glastonbury is! But you still wrote a great parody! And great campfire song for it! :) It also reminds me of Cinco De Mayo as well! Roasting 5 marshmallows, Offering 5 cans of beer, and 5 Mike's Hard Lemonade for this one!

Great parody of an obscure but pretty good original song, and a Glastonbury festival sounds like fun, although I can't get around the fact that the name reminds me of both buried glass shards and the POS ski boat that my dad used to have.
BR> Christie: Glastonbury is in the UK, that's about all I know.

Amendment to above: Said ski boat was a "Glastron". Kinda sounds like Glastonbury, huh? ;-)

I always thought "Feed the World" was a better song than "We Are the World". Your parody conjured up some vivid imagery.

I've been to Glastonbury many times, and loved the song. Who knows, we may have rossed paths already! Great song Plug
