The Lyrics

I knew that when the Supreme Court mandated that states license and recognize same-sex marriage that the issue of polygamy would soon make its way into the debate. I am not aware of any previous society that considered the sexual union of two men or two women as a "marriage". Multiple wives, on the other hand, have been permitted in many cultures, even in the United States, during a brief period, by the Mormon church. While not sanctioned by mainstream Mormons today, plural marriage is still practiced in certain communities, largely without legal interference. Islam, a rising presence in this country, allows a man to have more than one wife. In a secular society, women, of course, would be afforded the same prerogatives. A good time can be had by all, but future genealogists are going to have fun straightening out all the lines on the family history charts.
Bigamy? Why not polygamy?
Legally, is there something to stop it?
Man weds man, the courts endorse it
State says "Ban", but judges force it

Laws defy, popular vote, good-bye!
Can't really say it was unexpected
The Supremes' review led to "I do"
Will they do it plurally?

Family tree branches out crazily
Practically, there is no way to chart it
Tried to decipher it and saw
I'm my own sister and grandpa

Joseph Smith had more than one, no myth
The faith of Islam, it's their tradition
All good, clean fun, so why stop at one?
When you can wed two or three?
A man in Montana has already applied to take a second wife. In the wake of the Court's ruling, the clerk did not simply turn him away, but agreed to check it out with the county attorney. I think it is easy to predict where the law is going with this, but the social ramifications and unintended consequences will keep lawyers and others busy for years to come.

Polygamy? Hell, that's child's play. Just wait until you see all the lawsuits against incest prohibitions and age restrictions! I'm not just talking about first cousin marriage (already legal in about half the states) and "Romeo and Juliet" laws here either: I'm talking about sibling and inter-generational marriages and 6-year-olds marrying other 6-year-olds. (The part about *66-year-olds* marrying 6-year-olds will come later, after the government's brainwashing centers, er, public schools are finished teaching kindergartners to bang each other. Once you've got kids "consensually" doing everything the adults do, the argument that children having sex with adults isn't "consensual" collapses. On the other hand, our nation's growing Muslim culture with its glorification of its prophet Mohammed's marrying a 6-year-old might be able to fast-track the legalization of pedophilic marriages, so don't hold me to the timetable for that prediction.) Ah, federalism, we hardly knew ye...

At first, the above comment seemed a bit vulgar, but considering the fact that the Gay agenda should have ended with Gay marriage approval and hasn't, it is no exaggeration. Gays want first graders to learn about Gay sex!!! It's not good enough to teach Two Mommies/Two Daddies anymore in storybook fashion. Now it's time for homosexuality to cover every aspect of life. What use is there for a six year old to learn about Gay sex and relationships???

When I was in the 8th Grade (circa 1967) there was a story going around the playground that actor Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) had "married" Rock Hudson. We had no idea, most of us, about what "homosexuality" was. It was just a ridiculous sounding story. As it turns out, Nabors and Hudson were good friends, perhaps more, as even Paul Harvey insinuated during Hudson's final illness. Read Huxley's "Brave New World" to see a depiction of grade school children being taught to have sex with one another. That was the 1930's, and seen as the eventual outcome of the educational trends underway even then in "progressive" circles. When one restraint falls, the rest can unravel very quickly. Again, looking at Islam, one can also see what form a backlash against perceived degeneracy could take. We live in "interesting" times.
