The Lyrics

My music hobby is performing old songs (mainly 30’s through 70’s). I write funny parodies for some of them. I change the song’s serious theme to something funny but retain original lyrics and rhyme as much as possible. This one got started by changing the song theme from "cowboys" to "cowgirls"
Husbands pray that your wives won’t want to be cowgirls
They’ll stop changing diapers and start driving old trucks
And forget to give babies their bottles and such
Husbands pray that your wives won’t want to be cowgirls
They’ll never stay home, you’ll be left all alone
While they’re searching for cowboys to love

Cowgirls are easy to love and easy to hold
But you should watch out cause they still like their diamonds and gold
Lonestar belt buckles and old faded levis are now her feminine way
You may not understand why she’s not wearing dresses
They’re more fun for a roll in the hay

Husbands pray that your wives won’t want to be cowgirls
They’ll stop changing diapers and start driving old trucks
And forget to give babies their bottles and such
Husbands pray that your wives won’t want to be cowgirls
They’ll never stay home, you’ll be left all alone
While they’re searching for cowboys to love

LadyCC: if I am NOT to be cowgirl, then why am I here?!? D. Campagna: You are here to make me look good, and to be ~ Our Lady of Compassion ~ for we have no sister, and no other woman is allowed on the Campagna. LadyCC: Dave, what does that mean?? What is my role here? D.Campagna: I and my brothers will worship you, alone, for you are my elegant Bunny, who welcomes my cowboy kiss, quenches my thirst from the hot NorCAL sun, calms ~ DomiNition ~ with your gentle touch, and dances in the MoonLight to John's guitar. Baby, you will always be my Cashmere, Chocolates & Chanel Bunny.

Jack, you've done it well! Have been through all your parodys and for the most part a 5 was given -- about 3 or 4 3/s but nothing below. Such hidden talent -- no wonder you don't like to leave town!! Send more......

. . . Sir, instead of praying, why not Surrender to: tight jeans ~ cowboy boots ~ and a Stetson, and enjoy your Lady !
