Charles Rust-Tierney, former president of the Virginia chapter of the ACLU, who once argued that Internet filters in libraries that limited children's access to pornography would interfere with their ability to learn and communicate, has been charged with possessing child pornography. Of course, Mr. Rust-Tierney is innocent until proven guilty, but this parody does an excellent job of pointing out how the ACLU is frequently misdirected in its pursuit of freedom.

People, this is not an ambiguous case! The pictures and videos they found on Charles Rust-Tierney were not lolicon hentai, they were not pictures of some stupid teen who decided to record his roll in the hay with some other stupid teen, they were not even questionable photos of children in a nudist colony; these pictures and videos were live-action records of hard-core rape involving a range of victims from preteens down to babies. According to the agents who raided his home, some of the victims in the videos were tied up and screaming in pain as they were being raped. This is out-and-out child abuse of the kind even self-proclaimed pedophiles regularly disavow on their forums. This is also a highly-respected and effective member of the ACLU, successful at keeping Virginia libraries from monitoring and blocking Internet connections. The facts speak for themselves.
