The Lyrics

The attitude towards Britsh Soil today
Your hometown looks the same
Its pissin down with rain
And every night its cold enough to freeze my balls off
Down to roost, I go, get on a plane
Im off to tenerife again,
Who gives a fuck, for green green grass back home...

Yes they'll all come to see me,
Wave goodbye, smiling sweetly, yeah
Who gives a fuck for green green grass back home...

Your house is still standing,
With my mortgage in arrears
And they've clamped my car, and re-possessed the tele..
Down the road I see, a man in grey
The bastards from the CSA
Who gives a fuck for green green grass at home

Then i awake, and look around me,
Are these green walls, that surround me?
Then i realise, Hey! im in Vegas, or In titville!
Cos theirs the bars, and theres the monotone,
Im singing here, I think im stoned..
I must have smoked some green green grass back home

Yes they'll all come to see me..
Share a spliff.. that I rolled so neatly,
Again, we'll smoke some green green grass at home....

*Somebody pass the munchies*

Lovely :-) I wrote a pot-based parody to this one, but didn't like it enough to post - this is way better.

Two lyric changes please - Down to roost, I go, get on a plane? No, it's Down to Rhoose, it's the site of an airport near Cardiff. Then i realise, Hey! im in Vegas, or In titville? No, it Merthyr Tydfil (pron; murth her tid vil). Great song though, been playing this on my Radio Show, with the swear words removed of course.
