Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I-man, there's no need to feel down
I said I-man, pick yourself off the ground
I said I-man, 'cause you're chased out of town
There's no need to be unhappy

I-man, where were you gonna go?
I said I-man, when you call those girls hoze
You can’t stay there, cause I'm sure you will find
Reverend Al will beat your behind

Chorus 1
It's true they're sending Don Imus away
It's true they're sending Don Imus away
He just said a bad thing, everyone got annoyed
You can bet his career’s destroyed

I-man, these are words you should hear
I said I-man, let’s be perfectly clear
I said I-man, maybe a rap career
Could be just the thing but listen

No man does it all by himself
I said I-man, keep an eye on your health
It’s true that, you are older than dirt
Maybe it’s best that you retire

Chorus 2

It's true they're sending Don Imus away
It's true they're sending Don Imus away
He just said a bad thing, and it all hit The Fan*
Now they’re stickin’ it to I-man

I-man, Cosell was in your shoes
I said Cosell, was down and out with the blues
Because he said, “Look at that monkey go”
And the whole world came down crashing

That’s when Jesse came up to you
And said I-man, your Ho callin’ is through
Because rappers do it better it’s true
Please leave this up to professionals

It's true they're sending Don Imus away
It's true they're sending Don Imus away
He just said a bad thing, can’t believe that it’s real
He’ll probably get a sa-tel-lite deal
*The Imus show was on WFAN in NY. Also called The Fan.

Good riddance. Imus was also known to call management at CBS a "bunch of money-grubbing Jews."

I "Don" believe it!! Amazing! Dynamite! Hilarious! I'd even consider it better than "Imus' Reliever!" (Apologies to the author of that parody) Undoubtedly worthy of triple 5's.

Outstanding parody. The Fan line was an amazingly bad pun, which might have been slightly better if you didn't have to explain it.

Thanks for comments. As for the pun..I confess I ripped it from Dennis Miller who also described Imus as Wyatt AARP!
