"I'd Like to Teach the World Some Things"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Can you tell I have a kid in college?
I’d like to teach the world some things
About society
I care a lot, so you are not
Allowed to disagree

I’d like to buy the world a home
And furnish it with stuff
With shopping sprees and money trees
All sent from up above

I’d like to teach the world to think
The same way that I do
Now don’t get sore, it’s just I’m more
Intelligent than you

I’d like to take stuff from the rich
And give it to the poor
I can’t believe you’re too naive
To think of that before

I’d like to preach the world some things
About mass poverty
I’d like to buy it healthcare too
Cause that sh*t’s f#%king free

I want the world to bow to my
Superiority
So shut your face, and know your place
and acquiesce to me

(That’s my real thing-)
(Y’all just do what I say....)

Ain't it great to be sixteen? The only age when you know the answer to absolutely everything!

Funny thing is, I don't think I ever went through that -- pretty sure you have to pay attention to your know-it-all professors to become a know-it-all yourself -- and there's a reason I'm a mailman

Well I see you are still around, so "Hello, Claude Prez". Fun piece here, 5's. I haven't been around much for, oh, the last 9 or so years, but I got a little nostalgic and popped in a moment ago. "16"? Jesus Keyhrist, that was 1966 for me. I mostly recall being a fairly bright but mostly clueless skinny little wise-ass, but much has changed i'm now a sometimes bright, paunchy old wise-assed fart. Gave up writing parodies when I reached 1,000 (I posted slightly less than half that here, mosty due to, uh "content' issues, but a decent number stayed home because by the time they were completed to my satisfaction they were no longer topical. By the way, your "Let Aunt Bea" parody of "Let It Be" was (and still is) one of my all-time favs from this site.

No way! Have I been "Paul Robinsoned"? I recall that was a thing; just can't recall exactly what that thing meant. I guess I'm still "around", but mostly on a slightly extended nostalgia trip myself. Good to see you; I'll keep my eyes open in case you decide to post something soon.
