The Lyrics

I hope I will be seein’ Santa soon
He is known as the top dog
The Yule Boss
Checking his list
Checking it twice
For all the little kids
Who avoid the bad vice
Have no fuss or cussin’
Break no laws
Or else they'll get zip from Santa Claus
No gifts received from Santa Claus!

Near the mall’s Christmas trees
Next to Bacino’s Pizza
I see Santa’s elf
He’s here to hold down the long line
See the tracks
The line leads down
And across
To the edge of town!
But here’s where we stop (Fa la la la, fa la la laaa!)
Gotta go to the top
That’s why we’re here to see Santa!

Hope we’re seein’ Santa soon
He is in the mall all afternoon (he da man!)
Hopin’ to see Santa soon
‘Cause I’m gonna need the bathroom soon
[BLISTERING SOLO PERFORMED BY HERBIE THE MISFIT ELF; YOU CAN SKIM AHEAD TO 3:20 IF YOU ARE LISTENING TO THE STUDIO RECORDING]

We’re workin’ for ol’ Santa Claus!
We are the elves so merry,
Workin’ for Claus!
We work all day and all night all for macaroons!
We’re using our hammers and saws
We get paid very little
But we love our boss
Even though
He’s a bit stinky and prattles on about nothing all day
We all make Slinkys and Magnadoodles and Lincoln logs all the live long day
Then payday!
We drink until we get sauced
We’re just a crazy bunch of little merry folks
Just don’t start with a bunch of silly jokes
It’s bad for your elf to make stupid jokes

I wanna blue hobby horse,
A Legoland rig,
But no pants, no socks, no clothing lines
Add a—
PS4 from Sony,
A fully-loaded Kindle or I-Pad,
Even a Jeep Wrangler, I’d say
Would be pretty grand
I need not worry about the cost
‘Cause I need to ask only Santa Claus!
He’s lookin’ jolly,
Santa Claus!
It can be only,
Santa Claus!

On that night
Drop my Christmas order
We’ll leave cookies and a latte
To make ya feel mighty right
And then I’ll—
Wake up Mom and Daddy
‘N give their butts a rush
They’ll yell “It’s much too early!
It’s 4AM, now hush!”
I guess I should just
Go back on
To bed
Like a good boy
And give my thanks to old Santa!

Hope we’re seein’ Santa soon!
(Look at him in his sleigh!)
Hope we’re seein’ Santa soon!
(Jingling all the way!)
Hope we’re seein’ Santa soon!
(Gets it done in one day!)
Hope we’re seein’ Santa soon!
(Merry Christmas, bright and gay!)
Hope we’re seein’ Santa soon!
(Get 'er done with no pay!)
Hope we’re seein’ Santa soon!
(Nothing more I can say!)
Hope we’re seein’ Santa soon!
(Have a merry holiday!...)

Herbie the misfit elf is under-rated

This is a great song to parody; you can hardly go wrong with it. I've done it twice with "Lantana" which is a ground cover plant with little yellow flowers -- I might be pruning two lantana soon. And there was "Medina" about Mohammed's migration to Medina and about some "stuff" that went down there

Holy cow, this was six shades of epic! The pacing was spot on (even on the really fast lines) and the high pitched lines fit perfectly when being sung by elves. Great work!

Made me laugh "Ho, ho, ho" You really outdid your elf with this one!

(Artistry) Fantastic parody, if a bit hard to follow along with the mumbly OS. 555!

Very festive and a lot of fun. I laughed so hard when you switched to the elves perspective. That was truly hilarious!

Kinda like two parodies in one here and I'm not entirely sure that was the right move (he-he), liked the second part best, though it seems that your elves, unlikes Matthias', at least are getting paid.

See Above: Still an excellent read that was tricky to pull off. Nice job!

Sorry, this one did nothing much for me at all, though that's probably more the fault of the OS and the pace it moves at. Even if it does sound a bit like it has the elves singing at one point.
