The Lyrics

[[1st Verse:]]
There he was
Picking flowers
Knowing that
Two girls were there
Wrongly accused
And sentenced to death
The pain that makes us
Protest and so...

[[Chorus]]
And his name was George Stinney
The justice system's flimsy!
And every night we cry
'Cause we blacks were innocent!

[[2nd Verse:]]
Then he's confined
In jail in pain
Love is gone
George's heart beats
In big ol' fear
"Please don't kill me!"
"Please, your honor,"
"Don't give me death!"

[[Chorus:]]

[[I N S T R U M E N T A L B R E A K]]

[[Chorus:]]

[[3rd Verse]]
In the warm June
Of Nineteen double four
Time counted down
To execution
Being strapped in
Electrons flowed
Killed by white folks
At age fourteen!

[[Chorus]]

[[Outro]]
Why no justice?
Ohhhh, for all free peeps...
Justice for all!
Ohhhh, for all man, for all mankind!
Why no justice?!
Ohhhh, for all man, for all man, mankind?
Ain't no justice on this, on this land...
Ohhhh, no justice for no blacks...
Four hundred years, late
Sad....girl!
Lynchings, burnings, torture!
Ohhhh, and I'm feelin' bad...
Bad white folks...

George Stinney was the youngest American to be executed. He was wrongfully convicted of murdering two Caucasian girls in the Southern United States.
