Parody Song Title:

"Truckin'"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

truckin'...to mount doom, my friend
keep truckin'...toss the ring back in
together...on a quest divine
we just keep truckin' on

we are agreein' the ring must be heaved in the fire's heat
we certainly noticed the nazgul, invading the shire streets
it seems that our city's involved in a mythical bad dream
choosing up...the fellowship of the rings

nazgul...they are evil fiends
bullies...they're always actin' mean
dark looks...they keep their face, unseen
they just won't let us be

most of the folks that we meet on the road, show us true love
most of the time, they take us right into their homes
for if we fail, all middle-earth may be goin'
gondor would fall...that would give sauron, the throne

truckin'...with my good pal, sam
elves and dwarves are gonna be on hand
sometimes...its hard to give a damn
when this ring drags me down

somehow, this ring is magic, you see
other folks want to steal from me
why don't they just let me be ?
what a long strange trip its been

what in the world, ever became of gollum ?
once was a hobbit, but now, he isn't the same
livin' on dead...things from the sea...like fish brains
all that dude can do, is cough out his name

truckin'...wish it wasn't so
been walkin'...so our pace is slow
it takes time...but yet, we have to go
we just keep truckin' on

standin' and starin' into the foul lair of shelob
i tripped and fell...a cocoon, she started to spin
it looked like the finale to my travels
but all of a sudden, sam, with a sword, thundered in

trusted...so i hope i win
sent up...to throw this ring back in
watch out...i got to save my skin
they just won't let me be

let's put a end to this quest...i'm tired of the travel
the fires were bubblin'...the ring, in the fire, was drowned
i guess i have revoked his soul...he's dyin'
the eye is no more...his tower is crumblin' down

somehow, this ring is magic, you see
other folks want to steal from me
why don't they just let me be ?
what a long strange trip its been

truckin'...we're goin' home
whoa-oh, baby, back where we belong
back home...sit down and patch our bones
let's get back truckin' home
hey now, get back truckin' home
hey now, get back truckin' home
hey now, get back truckin' home

HEY PEOPLE - check out parodied lines like these:

Original line:
Livin' on reds.....Vitamin C.....and cocaine

Parody line:
livin' on dead...things from the sea...like fish brains

Very well done, an excellent contribution to the Amiright Tolkien Collection.

P.S. I really liked this line about Gollum, too: "all that dude can do, is cough out his name" .... LOL!

Alvin, absolutely AWE-INSPIRING. As both a DEAD and HOBBIT freak, this is stunning. I hope this does not go under appreciated. Superb job, keep 'em cummin'.

I think I know what happened Johnny,(I do it myself occasionally).Casting the numbers, then go to leave a comment, meaning to register your vote also, but forgetting to make sure the actual vote button is clicked, instead of the comment one.(Think that's what happened here.) I always go back,to every vote I've casted & revote, just to make sure. He's the same-he'll fix it. ; )

If you like The Dead and LOTR, you must check this out. Best Lord of The Rings parody ever. The only place where it is weak is the title -- which gives you no clue as to the actual content
