The Lyrics

You may be wondering, of all the women I could be hopeless about, why her? Well... have you SEEN her? And heard her? I think it's the voice that really gets to me.
Seven years ago, I say
I was happy as a lark.
I used to go to the movies.
At the multiplex I'd park.
And I'd sit in the same old seat
and watch the movie play.
I had no idea that my future
would bring me a dark, dark day.
The woman doesn't even know me
though her husband has my name.
I'll laugh at his corny old jokes
but it still doesn't ease the pain.
I know I can hide from delusion
though day after day, I try.
I keep thinking, "She'll leave him."
But today, again, it's a lie.

Whoa...
I see her face every time I go
to the mall that's playing her new picture show.
Have you seen her?
I mean, have you SEEN her?

Oh, I hear her voice and it calls me home
on TV when she sells a mobile phone.
Have you seen her?
I mean, have you SEEN her?

Why oh why
did she take that guy and
run away?
Oh, whoa
I've been used
to having that girl to dream on
and I'm lost!
Catherine I've lost!

Whoa...
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dodda-dodda-dop
bodda-dop-dop-dop-dop-dodda-dop
Have you seen her?
I mean, have you SEEN her?

Whoa...
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dodda-dodda-dop
bodda-dop-dop-dop-dop-dodda-dop
Have you seen her?
I mean, have you SEEN her?

Whoa...
She left me for a wrinkled man.
As an actor he is such a ham.
Have you seen him?
I mean, have you SEEN him?

Oh, I'd like to reach out to his throat.
This "American President" won't get my vote.
Have you seen him?
I mean, have you SEEN him?

Why oh why
did she take that guy and
run away?
Oh, whoa
I've been used
to having that girl to dream on
and I'm lost!
Catherine I've lost!

Whoa...
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dodda-dodda-dop
bodda-dop-dop-dop-dop-dodda-dop
Have you seen her?
I mean, have you SEEN her?

Whoa...
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dodda-dodda-dop
bodda-dop-dop-dop-dop-dodda-dop
Have you seen her?
I mean, have you SEEN her?

Whoa...
As another lonely day comes without fails
I'm looking for something, anything
from the real princess of Wales.
With all the women I know
I'm still a pathetic man.
And you know, it's funny
I can hold her... phone
in the palm of my hand.

Have you seen her?
I mean, have you SEEN her?

Whoa, yeah...
bop-a-dop
bop-a-dop
Oh yeah...
bop-a-dodda-dodda-dop
bodda-dop-dop-dop-dop-dodda-dop
Have you seen her?
I mean, have you SEEN her?

(fade away, like my hopes)

There there, Mr. Pacholek...I feel your pain. Well, I really don't...because it's not like Mr. Diesel went and married Kathleen Turner or anything...but I still feel a little bit of it.

And by the way, Yes, I have seen her. Her new fragrance, 'Provocative Woman,' (well, she's the poster child) by Elizabeth Arden is my FAVORITE!! Check it out the next time you're at the mall...and you'll know what we both smell like...; )

I do, Arwen, I do. Wait a minute, those words might be misconstrued... but I have seen her posters at Macy's. Proof that there IS a God, but also that He likes to play practical jokes on some of His children. And you're right about Kathleen Turner, not just because she starred with Douglas in three movies, but because she has NOT aged well. She looked damn good in "The War of the Roses," at 35. But by the time she played Chandler's father (Yes, his father) on "Friends," she was 44 and looked like hell. Then again, there's that great voice, another big reason I love Catherine.

Oh, Michael...I just got my December edition of 'Glamour,' and you'll never guess who is on the cover...=)

You can go buy yourself a copy...just tell the clerk it's for your girlfriend...

Of course I'll never guess who's on the cover of Glamour... I'm still drooling over the cover of Harper's Bazaar!
