The Lyrics

This was written at a time when I was angry at job rejections as well as Neal Morse's solo career, Kate Bush's 'yummy mummy' status and the decision to send Stream Of Passion back home at customs.
There are worse things I could do
Than use fancy words or three
Even though the world thinks I'm inexperienced and no good
I guess they damn well should
But there's worse things I could do...

I could have a talk with God
Leave all Spock's Beard on their tod
Put my kiddies on the stage
And put punters in a rage
'Cos I didn't do the best of the songs I used to do

I could do a 'Tour Of Life'
Spend an age as 'little wife'
Put my son's work on the sleeve
Of some Elvis-flogging grieve
Worse than things I used to do

I could send a decent band
Back home to their native lands
Even though the Mexicans
Haven't murdered any man
And they haven't causes to

But to send this verse to you
THAT'S the worst thing I could do!
Stream of Passion had Mexican, Dutch and Swedidh members and the customs people turned the band away from a gig in Doncaster - at a time when fundamentalist Muslims were complaining about the West and harming innocent people,
