The Lyrics

That's how I first saw his name spelled, and that's how I'm gonna keep spelling it. Now, let me get this straight: It was OK, 25 years ago, for Reagan to bomb him -- keeping in mind that Khadafy has STILL killed more Americans than Saddam Hussein did -- but it's not OK for Obama to do so? It was OK for Dubya to lie us into a war against Saddam, but it's not OK for Obama to truth us into an attack (at press time, without ground forces) against Khadafy? What am I, and what is Obama, missing here? Oh yeah, we're missing... the endorsement of the Republican Party.
A boy is born in Alexandria, Egypt.
And he grows up, he's thinking that he's been gypped.
A dictator whose name's Hosni Mubarak.
Almost as bad as guy who once ruled Iraq.
He's almost as bad, near as bad as Khadafy.

He joins the men who foment revolution.
Mubarak leaves his palace institution.
Another one has been held in Tunisia.
But there's a country that is in between ya.
Libya's had enough, had enough of Khadafy.

George Dubya Bush, he hated Saddam Hussein.
Even though he was almost quite as insane.
Did not work well, until David Petraeus
and Barack Obama joined together to save us.
Straightened out Iraq. And now, up next is Khadafy.

Forty-two years, the man's filled newsmen's journal.
But never promoted himself past colonel.
He's kinda nuts, he thinks the people love him.
Give them a chance, they all would like to shove him.
Libya's had enough, had enough of Khadafy.

He brutally tries to put down uprisin'.
Britain and France, they institute no-fly zone.
Obama says, "I gotta help those poor folks."
Republicans say, "Boy, what about our folks?"
They don't care enough, care enough about Khadafy.

I'm old enough to remember when Reagan
sent jets to bomb, and give Moammar an achin'.
Blew up a plane, in case you have forgotten.
So let us end his life that's misbegotten.
We have had enough, had enough of Khadafy!

So it's all right for Zero to go to war without so much as a friendly Congressional authorization, but you'll pillory Bush for doing the same thing with one? Hypocrite. This just proves what we all knew: you never were against war, you just hated Bush and would do anything to hurt him including treason and sedition. All leftists are traitors and should be executed.

Haven't been paying much attention to your own side's talking points memos, have you, leftard? It's not a "war" but a "kinetic military action" whatever that means. 0bomber has no intention of actually taking out Gaddafi (however you choose to spell his name) and this, er, "kinetic military action" couldn't garner half the international support our Iraq invasion did and is the most unpopular "overseas contingency operation" we've had yet. Only 17% of Americans are as retarded as you, believing your Messiah to be a strong military leader. The rest of us know what a limp noodle he is. Hell, even Richard Nixon was a better President than your racist messiah.

Michael - I didn't ask this question clearly the last time..."What is the mission?" "Kaddafi must go"? "Humanitarian intervention"? "Installing a no-fly zone"? "Participating in a multi-national coalition"? The message changes hourly. YOU, however, have delivered your message with skill and wit, and are deserving of neither ones or harsh comments. ;D

As someone who voted for change, I don't see much. We've got no business in Libya in any fashion. Both Bush 'n' Obama are two sides of a corrupt coin.

2GP: Obviously, you can't read. It was OK for Reagan to bomb Khadafy without Congressional approval, therefore it MUST be OK for Obama to do the same. I was FOR the war against al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. I was AGAINST the war against a non-enemy in Iraq that Bush LIED us into. Insensible: My side's talking points? I am my side's talking points! And Obama has Britain AND France on his side -- Bush couldn't get France. He did get Spain, but their ruling party, and Britain's, AND Bush's all got toppled as a result. And anybody who thinks Nixon is better OR that Obama is "racist" is a (George Carlin word)ing idiot. YML: So you would've stayed out of WWII, too, huh? OMR actually makes the most sense today. It's making me dizzy. I gotta sit down.

Jeez, did Khadafy invade Poland? Mr. P, please give some comparisons to the Libya skirmish and America's entering WWII. And no, the Lockerbie bombing isn't like Pearl Harbor.

Waaaaaaaay to miss the point. You gave the impression of not wanting to go to ANY war. There is some honor in that. But the Czechs in '38 and the Libyans now begged for help from the western powers. The Czechs didn't get it. The Libyans need it now. Pacifism, to borrow a Will Rogers phrase, is a great idea but it doesn't work.
XSS - March 25, 2011 - Report this comment
Spare us your hypocrisy, Bicholek. Bush never lied about anything, whereas you leftards never tell the truth about anything. As for those Libyan rebels, their leader is Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, allied to Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Saddam's Baathist regime, and just about every other terrorist organization and enemy of the United States in the Middle East. Anyone who'd compare these Libyan terrorists to the Czechs and Poles is too stupid to be described even using Sam Kinison's words, let alone George Carlin's! Bush brought us Saddam's head on a platter and scared Gaddafi into giving up his nuclear program. Nixon kept his campaign promise to get us out of Vietnam. Zero the illegal White House occupant has alienated all of America's allies, sucked up to all of its foes, appointed fellow hate-mongering racist lackeys to high offices, and generally done everything he and his suckups (like you) ever accused Bush of doing. Of course Nixon was a better President than this empty suit! Heck, Warren Harding was a better President than this fascist usurper! Anyone who still approves of this illegitimate administration and its failed regime is either treasonous or stupid or both. In your case, I'm certain it's both.

Bush had twice as much coalition as Zero does. Coalition Countries - Iraq - 2003: Afghanistan, Albania Australia Azerbaijan Bulgaria Colombia Czech Republic Denmark El Salvador Eritrea Estonia Ethiopia Georgia Hungary Italy Japan South Korea Latvia Lithuania Macedonia Netherlands Nicaragua Philippines Poland Romania Slovakia Spain Turkey United Kingdom Uzbekistan Coalition - Libya - 2011: United States France United Kingdom Italy Canada Belgium Denmark Norway Qatar Spain Greece Germany Poland Jordan Morocco United Arab Emirate Of course, the facts ALWAYS contradict leftard talking points.

Young Man Libber - you got what you voted for. What a streeeeeetch MrP. Anyone opposed to the Libya skirmish is a pacifist opposed to all wars including WWII? Put down the crack pipe and try not to jump to infantile conclusions.

"Bush never lied about anything, whereas you leftards never tell the truth about anything." Excuse you, but YOU are the party of Nixon, Reagan and both Bushes. "As for those Libyan rebels, their leader is Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, allied to Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Saddam's Baathist regime, and just about every other terrorist organization and enemy of the United States in the Middle East." And why should I believe you when you say that, when the big names of your party from Gingrich to Palin to Huckabee lie about everything else? "Bush brought us Saddam's head on a platter." We didn't ask him for that. We asked him for Osama bin Laden's. He promised. He CHOSE to break that promise. "...and scared Gaddafi into giving up his nuclear program." Yeah, that was about as hard for him as it was for Madonna to stop wearing cowboy hats in her videos: Khadafy no more had a nuclear program than the Mets have business sense. "Nixon kept his campaign promise to get us out of Vietnam." No, he didn't, unless you think he was still President on April 30, 1975 -- thank God he wasn't. "Zero the illegal White House occupant has alienated all of America's allies... " Really? Does that include Britain and France, with whom he's bombing Libya? Do you think before you type? "...appointed fellow hate-mongering racist lackeys to high offices..." Name one. "Of course Nixon was a better President than this empty suit!" Nixon was a crook who crashed the economy and got another 20,000 soldiers killed in a war he promised to end. "Heck, Warren Harding was a better President than this fascist usurper!" You're an idiot: A person CANNOT be both a leftist a fascist. And "usurper?" It wasn't Obama who stole a Presidential election, it was Nixon (sending Mrs. Chennault to sabotage the peace talks in November '68) and Bush (brother Jeb and Katherine Harris in 2000). Look, OMR and I disagree on almost everything, but he has enough sense not to sound like one of Limbaugh's drooling sycophants. You don't have the sense God gave lint.

Except maybe pointing out the many inconsistencies of an overblown conservative argument. But since that's an everyday occurrence, it loses its charm quickly . . . like a lot of overblown conservative arguers.
