The Lyrics

(It’s not fair, no, no, no, no)
(It’s not fair, no, no, no, no)

Time keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’
Into September
Mind keeps on trippin’, trippin’, trippin’
Always remember

Just can’t for-get Nine Eleven
Burned in me
Why Nine Eleven
Let your spirit stay with me
Just can’t for-get Nine Eleven
Till I see
Forward to the retribution

Then a baby
Parent they'll never meet
View the children
With their lives incomplete
Spouses, people
Death they could not cheat
Oh no, mass execution

Just can’t for-get Nine Eleven
Never free
Cry, Nine Eleven
And your spirit stays with me
Just can’t for-get Nine Eleven
Strengthens me
My newest resolution

Time passed to Fall days, Fall days, Fall days
Day in September
Time passed we'll always, always, always
Deem to remember

(No, don’t do it)
(No, don’t do it)
(No, don’t do it)
(No, don’t do it)

And now you fly, you are angels
Flying free
Fly high new angels
Let your spirit carry me
Should not have died in their planned Hell
Now you’re free
Why, highest contribution

Time passed we'll always, always, always
Why Nine Eleven
Time passed we'll always, always, always
Lift eyes to Heaven

No one can forget 9/11! An 8 year anniversary, or is it 9 years? I remembered donating money for 9/11 and donating water bottles for firefighters during my college years when that event occurred! It felt great to contribute! Great remembrance in your parody! 5's!

Brings back all the images from that day, doesn't it?

I don't buy into all this "national service" stuff that some are trying to foist upon the people, especially those who want to just move on. This day should remain a day of rememberance of what evil really is, its horror and depravity, and how goodness, morality, and courage rise high above the rubble that covers their pits of Hell. Well done and never forget the truth of what those days showed, and the days that follow.

I echo all comments above. On the actual day of the terrorist attack 8 years ago, I was in a multi-story college classroom building (but not a skyscraper), and spent most of the day cowering under a desk because I was very afraid of terrorist attacks. (The pitcher of margaritas I had consumed the night before may have contributed to that feeling.) 5s to you.

I echo DJ and Meta4's sentiments...

A very fine parody for that solemn occasion
